In my opinion, the service department is unethical. After several scheduled service visits, where I mentioned a problem with the wheel finish, I finally found documentation that the wheels should have been prepared. However, my vehicle was then 3k miles out of warranty and they refused to cover. Again, this was after I asked about the wheel problem several times prior to warranty expiration.

I sent a letter to Hyundai corporate, who then contacted your service manager. According to the case manager, your service manager very clearly refused to correct the problem. After purchasing 3 Santa Fe vehicles over the years, I have seen the customer service go downhill dramatically. One of the reasons I originally purchased, and continued to purchase, Santa Fe's was due to the excellent Hyundai customer service. With that being said, I will NEVER purchase a 4th.
