I recently visited Bob Allen Ford and was nearly sold on a truck that appeared to be in fantastic condition at first glance. The exterior and interior were spotless, and everything seemed in order. However, I decided to take an extra precaution and got a 3rd party pre-purchase inspection—and I’m so glad I did. The mechanic uncovered significant rust and mud caked on the entire underbelly of the truck, which didn’t align with the mileage. They also noted that the tires were in far worse shape than they should have been. To make matters worse, the CarFax revealed that the service intervals were only half of what they should have been, especially for a truck that clearly endured aggressive off-road driving. The dealership did an excellent job of making the truck look great on the surface, but the issues underneath were hidden well enough that it would’ve cost me $38,000 in headaches had I gone through with the purchase. If you’re considering buying a vehicle from Bob Allen Ford, I strongly recommend spending $60-$100 on a 3rd party inspection before making a decision. It saved me from making a costly mistake. More

My only comment regarding improving would be the time that is takes to negotiate the price. I felt that there was an extended period of waiting for the pricing on the vehicle. We were there from 3:00pm to 7:15pm on a Saturday and still wasn't able to complete the paperwork. We had to return on Monday for an hour to complete the transaction. I know that we will be handled well post sale, too. We have been very pleased with the service department with our previous vehicles. More

We were driving through KC and based on previous research saw they had a couple of vehicles available at a lower price than what I was seeing at other We were driving through KC and based on previous research saw they had a couple of vehicles available at a lower price than what I was seeing at other dealerships so we decided to stop and look. On our way, about a three hour trip, I contacted the dealership and ended up visiting with Darryl Woodward. Knowing we were just stopping in, he could have totally brushed us off but he was ready with the vehicles we wanted to see and was very knowledgeable about them. Also knowing we wouldn't be stopping again unless it was a good deal, Darryl prepared an offer that was good. He did not pressure for an answer, allowed us to drive away and think about it and we called him with a "yes" about an hour later. We loved the no pressure sales! Although the signing of the contracts was a little longer than we would have liked, I think if we would have gone through pre-qualifying that would have helped the back end of the process. Nonetheless, they worked hard to get everything done in a timely manner. More
