I had a flat tire. My vehicle is a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica that is a lease that I got from Classic CDJR in Madison Ohio. When I leased the vehicle, I purchased the tir My vehicle is a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica that is a lease that I got from Classic CDJR in Madison Ohio. When I leased the vehicle, I purchased the tire and wheel package for $995.00. My wife took the van to our local hospital, and the right front passenger tire went flat. We called Madison classic CDJR and talked with (Austin) in the service department. He gave me a roadside service number to call. I called, and the lady gave me another phone number to call and said it was Stellantis roadside assistance. They arranged for my vehicle to be towed to the nearest CDJR dealership. The dealership was Montrose CDJR in Kingsville Ohio. We informed Montrose CDJR that the vehicle was in route to there dealership per instructions from the Stellants representative. After my vehicle got to the dealership (my wife present) they (Danny from the service department) told her that she needed to buy the other three tires for the van or it would mess up the awd on the van. I talked to (Danny) and told him we can’t afford that, and that I had purchased the tire and wheel package when we got the lease. He then told me he wouldn’t be able to get the van in to be fixed for two weeks. This is our only vehicle. So I called Classic CDJR and told (Austin, in the service department) my situation, and asked him why I purchased the tire and wheel package if this is what’s going on. Luckily, I was in my hometown when the tire went flat, and the closest dealership was only 6 miles away. He (Austin) said he would call Montrose and talked to (Danny, at Montrose CDJR). Imagine if I was on the side of the highway, somewhere, going through this process. In between, I called Danny and apparently he had talked to Austin and they can have a tire on it in two days and it would cost me $30.00 plus tax to do it. Austin called me back, he told me that Montrose would have the tire, the next day. I informed him of the charge, and again I asked why should I purchased the $995.00 tire and package if this is how the customer (me, and wife) would be treated. I don’t know what happened on there end (Austin from Classic CDJR and Danny from Montrose) but shortly after I received a call from Danny saying that they would waive the $30.00 plus tax fee for replacing the tire. WONDERFUL! So we got my wife home because Montrose didn’t have a loaner car, and apparently unwilling to give her a ride home, but luckily my neighbor could go pick her up. The next day Montrose called and said the new tire was on a ready to be picked up. GREAT, a day earlier than the original two day quote, and definitely better than waiting two weeks I was originally told. My wife picks up the van, comes home and gives me the paperwork. I’m looking over the paperwork and it says “Customer declined four new tires and had us mount and balance one tire on the passenger front even though it’s a different tire then the rest”. Now nobody from Montrose Danny) had told me he was putting on a different tire than the other three. And sure enough, I went out and looked at the new tire, and it is a Goodyear tire, when the original tires are Pirellis. JUST GREAT! So now I have a van with three Pirelli tires and one Goodyear tire. Keep in mind this is a lease that I will be turning in October 2026. My van had 20,100 miles on it when this took place. On the paperwork it states “ Customer was in a hurry to have vehicle repaired instead of waiting the extra time for a matching tire.” Well, No xxxx! It’s my only vehicle, and what was I supposed to do. AGAIN, WHAT IF I WAS ON THE SIDE OF A HIGHWAY. So after all of this, back and forth with the two dealerships, ultimately in the end I get blamed for the different tire on my vehicle. So I wonder, what is going to happen when I go to turn the van back in at the end of the lease. And I wonder if I would have been treated differently (better) if I would have purchased 4 new tires.
