I was shown the Kia Soul by Dana Peege who is a super-nice sales person and did her job very well. She did not know anything about a "Buyer's Order" however, which was what my credit union (who ha super-nice sales person and did her job very well. She did not know anything about a "Buyer's Order" however, which was what my credit union (who had approved me for a loan) asked me to have faxed to them. She had the Sales Manager, Tom Casper, come in to try and get me to use "their financing" which was at a significantly higher interest rate. I stated several times that I would only complete the deal if my credit union would accept this car at this price for the financing that I was approved for at the much lower rate. Tom Casper sent me on to Mark Allen to do the paperwork. Mark Allen had us sign several unexplained documents and told us that he would not give us any copies of these documents because they would all be re-written in the morning after the credit union representative contacted them with approval. We left with the new car, and no documents except the copy of registration required by law to be in the vehicle at all times. The next day I was contacted by the credit union to tell me they refused to finance the car since the deal would leave me $2300 in the hole at delivery - Deland Kia had overpriced the Soul by $2300 over book value. I immediately took the Soul back to the dealership. Eric Nyaga greeted me and said that he could not get to the paperwork, since Mark Allen had locked it up in his office and was off that day, so he could not take the car back at that time. Eric told me to keep driving the Soul but not to put more than 500 miles on it, since they could not take it back with more than 500 miles. The following day I attempted again to return the Soul. This time Tom Casper greeted me and accused me of lying about the entire arrangement, including telling me that Mark Allen (who had given me his card) had not worked there for 6 months and "there is no way my trained finance professional would ever agree to a deal like that" i.e. holding the paperwork for credit union contact and approval. Tom Casper yelled at me and refused to accept the car. He spoke with his "GM" whom he named as "J.D." and they concluded that they had a final sale and I was stuck with the car. He said I was lying about not having any paper copies and that it was illegal for that to have been done. I left the car there and returned both keys, which was all I had. I left with him yelling at me that the car was "Your car, and you are liable for it!" The next day, Eric Nyaga called me and was very polite, asking if there was anything they could do to earn my business and I said that after they way I was treated by Tom Casper and J.D., and apparently lied to in the first place when told that they had no idea what a "Buyer's Order" was - there was no way I would consider doing business with Deland Kia. I feel like they were trying to force me to take the car on their terms. This deal was unprofessional if not worse, and I will tell everyone I can to avoid Deland Kia. It is too bad that someone as nice as Dana Peege and even Eric Nyaga are associated with a company that employs the likes of Tom Casper and J.D., and perhaps the mysteriously employed Mark Allen. Don't risk dealing with Deland Kia! More

I was shopping for a new car needed to be efficient on gas and be stylish. As a 20 yr old, I was having a hard time getting a loan from a bank ( even with over 1/4 of the car's worth down ) Dana and her gas and be stylish. As a 20 yr old, I was having a hard time getting a loan from a bank ( even with over 1/4 of the car's worth down ) Dana and her sale's manager were on the ball and completely dedicated to finding the right NEW car for me and getting me approved for a loan. Car buying is, for the most part, frustrating and time-consuming ( trying to find a car you like and the right price), but deland kia took the burden for me by doing all the work, and within a week's time of my first visit, I was riding out of there in my brand new Kia Forte. The staff is very straight-forward and more friendly than any person could ask for. If you're looking to purchase a car, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Deland Kia to anyone. More

Worst experience ever!!! Came to dealer with a pre approved loan from our bank. Dana greated us and got us into a Brand New Kia Soul assuring us my 21 year old daughter qalified for a loan matching th approved loan from our bank. Dana greated us and got us into a Brand New Kia Soul assuring us my 21 year old daughter qalified for a loan matching the low intrest offered by our bank. We did all the paperwork went to John to finalize the paperwork.Everyone congratulated her over an over. We then went outside and had an hour detailed informational speach from a nice guy Forest who apparently is a NASA scientist according to Dana. Then we drove off with car. 8 days later the dealer called we went up there spoke to an Eric who said John could'nt find deal because it never went through! Shocked as we were he said John and Dana told you it was not finalized which is not true as there was 4 adults in room at all times!Eric sat smug in his chair and stated Well mm she can keep car you just have to co-sign for her! I stated as I stated several times there will be no co-signers she pre qualified for her own car through bank. He said well you better go talk to your bank and see if they will pay for it the and ill call you wednesday.I could not believe how rude he was being and I told him how upset I was! I left there went and spoke to my loan officer at bank who informed me they could not do that car because it was over $4000.00 over priced. After calling and asking to speak with someone in charge we consistantly got told more rude things such as "if you care about your daughter just sign the deal and she can keep car she has grown to love" I truly feel the whole deal was done in the pretense they would strong arm her parents to co-sign the deal.My daughter was devestated humiliated and crushed! I then returned the car after several threatening messages to "bring back their car" as if we stole it!Upon returnng car I was refussed her orignial paperwork releasing her trade aswell as her pay stubs! I then had to argue to get them to switch back the tag to the trade in as to be able to drive home!Parents beware this place will trick your kids and you!!!!Bright side my daughter did purchase a new Toyota Corolla from a Real dealer who holds up to thier word and she was able to hand them a check from bank!!! Whatever you do do not buy from these rude crooks!!! More
