Beware beware of service department and service manager Dan Tow! This service manager DAN TOW will do everything he can in order to NOT make a WARRANTY repair. I am utterly shocked at the consistently T Dan Tow! This service manager DAN TOW will do everything he can in order to NOT make a WARRANTY repair. I am utterly shocked at the consistently TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I have had at the Porsche Riverside service center. Specifically with the SERVICE MANAGER Dan Tow. I chose this service center specifically due their 4.8/5 online rating. Photo evidence of the entire experience is attached below. I cannot believe how NEGATIVE this experience has been. I have now had to make FOUR SEPARATE 100 mile TRIPS in order to try and get this issue repair: Within 100 miles of purchasing this car with an original 20 miles on the dashboard an array of warning lights appears stating multiple malfunctions and failures such as: A) protective occupant protection unavailable B) adaptive cruise control not available C) assistance systems defective D) active lane keeping not available and service required I have had to make multiple trips where they supposedly repair these items and within a few days the notification lights come on. After the 2nd attempt I purchased a dummy belt buckle to try and get the seat belt notification to stop as after setting and unsetting a few times it would eventually stop. On the 3rd or 4th attempt for repair they then told me it was my causing due to the dummy belt buckle. Clearly this was the easy way out for them in order to not have to make repairs and not Despite it not being there on the first 2 repair attempts and the service advisor confirming that the was not the cause of the issue. I consistently tested and issue would still arise without the dummy buckled in. I repeatedly told them that and despite that they continue to try and blame it on that. Andre the service advisor corroborated what i stated as he himself witnessed the issue as I sent multiple videos and photos showing the issue arising on multiple different occasions. The issue once again has appeared and they have not made any attempt to repair. It is clear that this service center is doing everything they can to not make warranty repairs. It seems they are doing everything they can to avoid doing any type of warranty work as more than likely the revenue generated from that is not equivalent to their normal out of warranty repairs. In ADDITION, after every single drop off, they would not look at the car until days later despite me mentioning speed of repair was significant to me. After having to make multiple trips due their incompetency with the repair, I would at bare minimum expect to be given priority but clearly the manager Dan did not care and gave minimal important to this issue. This is utterly embarrassing, can’t even drive the car as the seat belt blinker continuously makes noise despite me wearing the actual seat belt and my passengers can clearly notice it and have questioned how could a new car already be having issues. I am still in disbelief that the type of TREATMENT and experience I was given by a brand a reputable as Porsche. I am completely disappointed at the utter disregard for these issues from upper management DAN at Porsche Riverside. The only POSITIVE note I have is for the sales team, specifically Erick the manager, Sherman and service ADVISOR Andre. These guys were absolutely phenomenal to work with. After multiple experiences with brands like Mercedes, BMW and Maserati, they are by far the absolute best sales and customer service experience I have had to date. It is clear that is is because of these gentleman that this dealership is thriving. I will definitely refer every single interested party I know as these gentleman will surely get me positive feedback and rapport from anyone I send over. As for service, I will make sure to let everyone know to RUN THE OTHER WAY unless they are prepared to waste countless hours and experience terrible treatment. Our experience with the Service Department has been above reproach. Everyone we encountered was extremely communicative, respectful and certainly knowledgeable. I have been a Porsche customer for 53 years and have been to many service and repair shops over the years. Without a doubt, Dan Tow (service manager) and his entire staff are the most professional, most poli to many service and repair shops over the years. Without a doubt, Dan Tow (service manager) and his entire staff are the most professional, most polite, and most communicative technicians that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My beloved 2009 Carrera "S" is always handled with care and receives expert service by my service advisor, "HENRY", and he always honors my PCA Club discount, when service is completed. You can not go wrong by taking your Porsche to Porsche Riverside for factory service. More
