Was doing a pre-approval, got insurance for the vehicle. Got cash from the bank, putting 50% down cash. All of a sudden, the vehicle "didn't pass safety inspection" and no longer available. They said they are going to "Wholesale" the car instead. i actually used to work at this dealership. How did the car get to the inventory without an initial inspection? I asked for the safety inspection report but was told that it was going to be sent over. But i haven't received the report. This was a simple bait and switch case. These are the names and the faces of the individual's that I was doing business with that choose to lie to me over the phone instead. More

I am very happy with my Ford Explorer. I was not happy at all with the way I was treated by the used car manager. I was pressured by him to take delivery of the car in one day or he was mo I was not happy at all with the way I was treated by the used car manager. I was pressured by him to take delivery of the car in one day or he was moving to the next buyer that was interested in it. I looked at the car on a Monday and was not able to drive it because it had not gone through inspection yet. I still put a $500.00 deposit on the car. I came back to Bob Maxey as soon as the New Car salesman I was working with called me on Tuesday morning, after it came out of service. I drove the car and decided I would purchase it. At that point I told Will I may not be able to get the car until Wednesday since I had to go back to work and try to get all the paperwork in order, insurance, loan from my CU, and a ride back to the dealer to pick it up. That's when I was told "the used car manager would sell the car if I didn't take delivery of it by the end of that day" Tuesday. I still made the purchase. I did tell the finance guy in used cars that I was not happy with the way I was treated by the used car manager and was given excuses. I knew Will in New Cars and worked with him before, and a friend told me Will was a good guy to work with. I would never purchase a used car from Bob Maxey Used Cars, I would work with New Cars again. Also, I told the New Car Manager what was happening, and he did tell me if I could not make everything happen on Tuesday, the car would be there waiting for me on Wednesday or Thursday. More
