I purchased a 2020 Kia Telluride with an extended service contract from Napleton Kia of Carmel. After the vehicle was diagnosed with excessive oil consumption and I was advised the engine qualified for repla contract from Napleton Kia of Carmel. After the vehicle was diagnosed with excessive oil consumption and I was advised the engine qualified for replacement, I was repeatedly told the repair was “waiting on warranty approval.” Months later, the service contract administrator informed me that no claim had ever been submitted. After more than six months of delays, I filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General. During the investigation, the dealership made statements that I believe were inconsistent with my service records and prior communications. The Attorney General ultimately closed the file because it could not compel the dealership to provide the resolution I requested, not because it determined the dealership was correct. My rental reimbursement, which the dealership agreed to in writing, also remains unpaid. My experience was one of poor communication, extensive delays, and a complete loss of confidence in the dealership’s handling of a major warranty repair. I cannot recommend Napleton Kia of Carmel based on my experience. More
