I am so grateful I received this email to voice my displeasure. Dean Team Volkswagen has been working on warranty work on our vehicle since April. We still do not have a working vehicle returned to displeasure. Dean Team Volkswagen has been working on warranty work on our vehicle since April. We still do not have a working vehicle returned to us. I asked multiple employees for the GM's name and contact information, but nobody wanted to provide it. I finally looked it up online, and found that the GM is Colin Berndt. I filled out an online request asking him to provide his email address which he did on September 22. I emailed him back later on September 22 explaining our disappointment and asking for resolution. I had to send four more emails for a total of five before Colin called me on October 6, two weeks later. He was rude and abrasive, saying the reason he did not call back was because we did not purchase the vehicle from his dealership. This is true, but we did purchase from Dean Team and his dealership has been doing all of our service and warranty work over the last two years. He had not done his research and was assuming that we had towed the vehicle to the dealership in undriveable condition. The truth of the matter is that the service department botched their diagnosis and repair work and then was not competent in rectifying with the warranty company. Regardless, it struck me as unprofessional that he decided it was acceptable to ignore a disgruntled customer directly requesting a call from him. My husband and I explained the timeline and the service team's involvement. Colin eventually admitted that he needed to get more information and look into this, and would call us back. That call was one week ago and we have not heard back from him via email or phone. It is also worth noting that between our repeated requests for communication from Colin, several sales members from Dean Team emailed us asking us to come in and test drive new vehicles. Even when we responded to these emails, we never received a response or acknowledgement. More

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership two months ago. I had left several messages for Colin Berndt, the General Manager, asking him to call me to discuss certain issues associated with the purchase ago. I had left several messages for Colin Berndt, the General Manager, asking him to call me to discuss certain issues associated with the purchase as well as the overall experience. He never returned my phone calls. Today, after being on hold for an extended period of time, I was finally able to speak with Colin. I asked Colin if he had received my messages. He stated he did but it was not his job to speak with customers, so he didn’t call me back. He further stated, “ It is below my pay grade to deal with customer related issues. I have been running the place for 28 years”. Wow… I had just spent $50,000 at his dealership, and he did not have 5 minutes for a conversation. Furthermore, he kept miss pronouncing my name even after I had corrected him several times. I suspect this was intentional as I don’t recall anyone else having issues with the pronunciation of my name. Nonetheless, Colin became combative when I asked to speak with his supervisor. He said, “I don’t have a boss, I run the place”. Do Not purchase anything from this dealership. They will collect your payment with a smile, and refuse to speak with you once the funds have cleared… More

Kat could be the least informed and trustworthy car salesperson I have ever dealt with. She had no clue about most of the features including the tow hitch connector on the VW she sold me. She allowed a salesperson I have ever dealt with. She had no clue about most of the features including the tow hitch connector on the VW she sold me. She allowed a vehicle with over $4000 in body damage and a disabling check engine light to be loaded on a delivery truck and sent 2170 miles to New England. In the end, after filing Attorney General complaints in Missouri and New England, she and the ace Dean Team returned all my money and my trade in. I guess that earns 1/2 star. Not recommended. More
