Came into Hiley Subaru to look at a used car. Brendan greeted me with a smile and I ended up working with him throughout the entire process. This by far was the easiest car transaction I’ve ever Brendan greeted me with a smile and I ended up working with him throughout the entire process. This by far was the easiest car transaction I’ve ever had. Huge shoutout to Chris, the sales manager, for making this process as smooth and fantastic as it was. I would highly recommend this location. More

Having my truck totaled in an accident, I suddenly was in the market for a used vehicle. I found the one that I wanted here and the price was not bad so I reached out to come see the vehicle. First time I vi the market for a used vehicle. I found the one that I wanted here and the price was not bad so I reached out to come see the vehicle. First time I visited, sent in the waiting room waiting for my sales rep Josh who I had contacted in advance for 20 minutes. When I came back to purchase the vehicle, I was very clear that I do not purchase extended warranties. However, my credit was in terrible shape at the time so when they offered me financing, there really were only two options. Finance manager Colby said that one of the deals (the lower monthly payment option) require that I purchase an extended service contract (aka extended warranty) in order for that finance arrangement to be available to me. I asked no less than three times , if he was serious that this was a requirement of the lender that in order to get the finance rate quoted, I had to purchase an extended warranty. Each time he assured me it was absolutely necessary. When he brought back the paperwork there were in fact, two extended warranties in the price. As I was reading through the paperwork I noticed the second warranty was about wheels, finish protection, and door dings…all the things I especially do not need a warranty for. Once I pointed that out, he did admit that I probably didn’t need that one and “went to his manager“ to get that removed. However, shame on me that I didn’t question further on the one extended warranty that he assured me I had to have (which cost just under $5k). Of course after I purchased the vehicle, I did speak to the lender of my loan and ask them specifically if that was their requirement. As you can imagine, they said it absolutely was not and that I was lied to by the dealership. Shame on me for believing Hiley. I should’ve known better, but having no vehicle and running out of time to purchase, I made a stupid decision to trust a guy who I had questioned multiple times. And it turns out he had no problem lying to me. The price may have been fine, but I cannot abide a dealership that will flat out lie to me. After I realize this I emailed them requesting that they furnish in writing the proof that I needed an extended warranty for my finance deal. I got nothing in writing instead only a series of phone calls, wanting me to call and talk about it. When I was still a sales prospect for them, they had no problem emailing or texting me. But when I need some sort of documentation that they told me the truth, I got nothing. Of course, after about a week, they got tired of me asking and just didn’t respond. I read great reviews about this dealership for the new car sales but I don’t have any experience with that. In my opinion, the pre-owned sales and finance folks at this dealership knew that I was in a bad situation with credit, and saw an opportunity to take advantage of my situation. More
