Just went for a recall notice/repair Made appt online. Service dept should have better signage especially during COVID, for those of us w/mobility issues. Parked in empty spot outside se Made appt online. Service dept should have better signage especially during COVID, for those of us w/mobility issues. Parked in empty spot outside service dept; walked to service desk. Waited long time..no where to sit. Then he told me I had to go get my car & drive it into the main service door so it could be sanitized. So I walked all the way back to my car, drove it in , parked it as instructed "right inside the service door"and had to walk back all the way to service desk & wait longer while he walked to my car at the entrance of service dept (right where I came from 2x's), sanitized it and looked for my records in computer system. He couldnt find; asked if I had ever brought mr car there before. "Yep, I bought it here & had all other prev work done here!" Found it, finally. Ok, they'd come get me when done w/recall work. I went to parts window & asked for new battery in xtra fob. Chuck said be right back. He took fob & all keys attached and left my sight for at least 10 minutes. Again, no where to sit & no one to ask where he was. Finally came back; I asked where he was all that time. Said he had to take fob back off, replace battery & put back together. Asked his name, said thank you and went to waiting room. Approx 2hrs later, same service guy walked up next to me; scared the crap out of me cause I didnt see him coming. Came to tell & show me list of repairs to my car would be +$700.00. I was shocked!! Asked him how they could find all that wrong when I only brought it in for recall notice. He said recall work had been done previously so no need. I explained I hadnt driven in months (surgery) and I just got recall notice about a month ago. He tried to worm his way around that but that's when I noticed on the invoice that it wasnt my car listed. Then I saw different name et all. No empathy or apology. He had nerve enough to blame me: said I looked up when he called the name out so he thought it was me. The person who's car it was sitting at table right next to me said she didnt here her name called out. He didnt apologize to her either. I did apologize to her....no way should I have been privy to her private info...all of it..name, address, cost etc.. Personal opinion only here: I dont think the service guy likes his job....AT ALL. Thinking it must pay fairly well for him. Perhaps if he's not happy he should look for something else that might be more appealing to his talents/skills. More
