I sent out a request via email asking for an OTD quote for a 2024 Elantra SEL w/ Convenience package. I also specified the exterior and interior colors. The request went to 7 dealers. One replied asking to get other quotes, but would not give one themselves, and then they would see what they could do. Another was not in the position to give a good price because the specific car would have to come from a sister dealer. Four did not respond at all. Then there was Hyundai Inland Empire. OMG, they are in a league of their own. I got an immediate response from Howard in sales. My reply was sent over to the sales manager Chris, and Chris immediately provided me with an OTD quote with each line item. I was surprised by the number (lower than expected). The saying "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is" started rattling around in my head. I was wondering if a bait and switch would occur. But, what was put in place seemed to be solid to me. When I arrived, there was not a single question or comment about the quote. The numbers simply got transferred to the contract without any pitches beyond what I wanted. The entire team was straightforward, helpful, and a total no surprise transaction. Again, Hyundai IE is in a league of their own. Simple business model for success... be respectful and be of service for what the customer wants. More
