Dishonest business that lacks integrity and respect. Brought our Toyota in for a transmission recall that exceeded the coverage date. Service did not follow service bulletin, “we don’t need to” and c Brought our Toyota in for a transmission recall that exceeded the coverage date. Service did not follow service bulletin, “we don’t need to” and charged over $4,000, skipping steps outlined for repair. Car brought back when we noticed items were skipped on the repair, as well as loose bolts, a hanging protective cover, software not updated, magnets not installed. Told that they do not follow service bulletins but would fix the issues, update the software and install the transmission pan magnets. Car returned with on-going ratting noise from engine area when accelerating. Noticed that the car was possibly leaking fluid. Did not trust work at Penn Toyota so brought car to our mechanic who noted transmission fluid under the engine, confirmed rattling noise and a leak in the vicinity of transfer case. Recommended to come back to follow up to check the leak. Brought back to Penn Toyota for fluid leak and rattling noise. No rattling when Toyota test drove the car the next day. Told the transfer case was leaking oil and denied it was related to their work. (See Rav4 forums, damaged transfer case happens in this scenario, it gets damaged in the repair process if not repaired properly.) Brought the Rav4 back to my mechanic for inspection and follow up on leak. Confirmed transfer case leak said to return to Toyota or transmission shop. Brought to transmission shop (since Toyota would not admit fault) who said the transfer case is leaking from the repair at Penn Toyota. They said to contact Toyota Corporate to resolve. Called corporate who said we would get a call back from Penn in “one business day" to resolve the issue. Multiple calls to corporate to escalate with Penn, who they contacted. Never received a call back from Penn. Ultimately told dealers are independent. Reported to BBB, still no reply from Penn Toyota. At this point, tried to resolve: directly with Penn, through corporate and via BBB. Car taken to two mechanics – neither will repair – both say this is due to Toyota’s negligence; transmission/transfer case is damaged by Toyota and that for 4K+ transmission should have been rebuilt and repaired properly. At this point, we are in need of a new car due to Toyota’s negligence, lack of responsibility or ownership of their error and their dishonest and cowardly leadership. We tried numerous times to have this addressed only to be told they would “put in a good word” if we wanted to buy a new car. Zero stars would be too high of a rating. Our family has purchased multiple cars from this dealership, never again. Bring your car to service here with your eyes open and check your repairs. This dealership lacks pride in their work, their service and lacks any sense of respect or dignity in treatment of long-time customers. More

A friend of mine recommended Penn Toyota when she heard I was looking for a car. I’m thrilled that I went down and spoke with them. I worked with Luis Morales who with the help of Chris Mignano and Chris was looking for a car. I’m thrilled that I went down and spoke with them. I worked with Luis Morales who with the help of Chris Mignano and Chris Penn - the owner - and they were able to put together a deal that worked for me and find me a vehicle that can’t even be ordered right now. Even though car buying is much more challenging (and expensive) at the moment due to supply chain backups, I was treated fairly and honestly and felt that I was very well educated so I could make the best decision to match my wants and needs. The entire team was transparent, honest, and went above and beyond to make the process as easy and pleasant as possible. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and will use them in the future for all of my Toyota needs. More

Penn Toyota is a car dealership which I consider to be a “gem.” It has a beautiful showroom and service department. It is located on Northern Blvd in Greenvale, Long Island. The staff is incredibly professional and happy to answer any questions. Bob Penn and Chris Penn make you feel as if you are part of a family rather than just a customer. Chris Mignano is very knowledgeable and patient. He will do his best to find you the vehicle you want at a very fair price. Simply said, Chris is not only a great sales manager but an exceptional person. Also, Nick was very helpful, honest and direct. Luis made the entire car buying process “smooth as silk.” He kept me informed on the status of both vehicles that I had ordered. Once the vehicles were delivered, Luis spent significant time showing me the functionality of the vehicles. In addition, he set up the Toyota application on my phone and answered a slew of questions. The fit and finish of my Venza and 4Runner are exceptional! More

This is truly one of the best dealerships, bar none, I've worked with to lease a car from. Joni Glantz was an excellent salesperson. Professional, friendly, polite, and went out of her way, especially tow worked with to lease a car from. Joni Glantz was an excellent salesperson. Professional, friendly, polite, and went out of her way, especially towards the end, to follow up and be extra helpful. There was a slight glitch on their computer system at the beginning, where it wasn't accurately displaying my family's prior history of service at the dealership (my father, who had referred me, bought his vehicle there in 2019 and services it at Penn regularly). This led to a bit of awkwardness at the beginning, and an initial offer for a sale price of a new 2022 vehicle that was unfortunately out of my budget. Nevertheless, Chris Mignano (general manager), stepped in to facilitate further negotiations, and the deal we ultimately agreed to, all things considered (the unique build of the car, market conditions) was a reasonable one. Chris was extremely professional and helpful every step of the way. Sean H, finance manager, was also excellent. He patiently helped me find the best monthly rate for my lease from several different banks, and was clear and transparent explaining all the different figures. Market price for 3-yr old vehicles in 2022, vs. what they may be in 2025 is obviously difficult to predict, but the lease-end buyout offer price I was given was also relatively reasonable. I'd like to add a shout-out to the Appointment Coordinator, Shanelle Harvey, for being extremely professional at the very beginning of my relationship with Penn, and following up without being overly pressuring. Just a great experience from start to finish. My vehicle, a new 2022 Highlander Platinum Hybrid, which was processed and delivered much earlier than expected, is absolutely stunning and drive performance extremely impressive. Will be highly recommending this dealership to all my friends and family. More
