DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP I purchased my car from the Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie a month ago, a red 2020 Toyota Camry. In that short time the brake bolts on my rear passenger side of my my car from the Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie a month ago, a red 2020 Toyota Camry. In that short time the brake bolts on my rear passenger side of my car loosened, slipped to the front, and popped my tire. First i called roadside assistance to at least switch to my spare but the wheel lock was never put in my car. This is already gross negligence and a huge safety hazard. Because of this i had to get a tow to my dealership instead and i spent $350 to tow it to them as they said they would handle it. As soon as my car arrived however the service managers said they would not fix it, and the one i met with when i went to the dealership implied either i did something to the brake or pissed someone off. He also suggested i should file an insurance claim but I didn’t feel comfortable doing that as I am not at fault. My usage of the vehicle would not have caused my brake to slide up on my tire. Also, as a result of their negligence I could’ve lost my life and others could’ve been affected as well. I’ve never had brake bolts come loose and they couldn’t have if they weren’t already. I haven’t been in any accidents or sped over any speed bumps, nothing that would have made my brake slide around my tire. Again i stress that the wheel lock was missing from the car and that in itself is a huge safety hazard which everyone I spoke to brushed off, so they do not seem to care about customer safety. I also spoke to the sales manager, Brian reiterating my concerns. He said he would get back to me during the day Friday and he has still not contacted me. This lack of communication shows they do not have true concern for safety issues. I do not see how they can make me responsible for a mechanical failure within a month of me purchasing this car. I could’ve died since i had no knowledge the bolts could’ve even been loose until the week leading up to my flat tire. I do not believe the car was thoroughly checked before i left as they were in a rush to get me out of there to begin with. Again I never touched my brake or that wheel so how the bolts came loose is a mystery to me and with the way the service manager and sales manager responded to me trying to shift blame, I do not trust this dealership. I work at dealership myself and talked extensively with my managers, they agreed that this seemed pretty sketchy as a response especially when Ourisman is in the wrong. Not only was i endangered but i could’ve been stranded and i ended up spending more on tows because my wheel lock was never given to me. I will be sending a complaint into the Better Business Bureau as i wouldn’t want this to happen to any other customer. Freshly purchasing a car and having something of this magnitude occur is already troubling in itself but it’s clear they do not want to fix the issue. More

Awful service department, in just about every way you might measure it. Car was in for a routine oil changes and driving home we noticed the oil pressure gauge was not working. 2 separate time sensitive might measure it. Car was in for a routine oil changes and driving home we noticed the oil pressure gauge was not working. 2 separate time sensitive messages that afternoon and the following morning about whether the car should be driven went unreturned. Finally made an appointment for service on the gauge, dropped off the evening before the appointment, and the car had not been evaluated by the end of the following day. In fact the service tech called in the late afternoon to say he could find nothing wrong and it became evident he did not have or even read our description of the problem left at the time we dropped it off. Lead tech reportedly was not available to look at the car that afternoon, so they are keeping it for an extra day. On top of this, the service department almost never answers the phone and the general answering machine you are routed to fails to beep so you can leave a message. Communication by this service department rates a “0”. And, quality of service and timeliness of service also each rate a “0”. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change with the dealership, it was confirmed via email and I showed up today at 3:00pm. The gentlemen at the counter was very rude and said, "we don't schedule appo dealership, it was confirmed via email and I showed up today at 3:00pm. The gentlemen at the counter was very rude and said, "we don't schedule appointments online." I showed him the email and he just said, the gentlemen then said, "well that person no longer works here". So the question becomes, do you take appointments online or don't you? The proper way to handle this would be to try and help. Nope. I was told I have to leave that there are not appointments for weeks for an oil change. I suggest you update your website and publicly state there that you no longer take appointments online. We'll never return, and we'll tell everyone we know not to do business there either. Never been treated so poorly, and I did everything right, they did everything wrong. Customer service is simple really, "I'm sorry that happened to you. You are right, we should have changed our website to notify customers that we are no longer taking appointments online. Let's see what we can do to make this right." But no, couldn't do that. Not sure how you would trust them with your car when they are so disrespectful up front. More

The service I received was the worst I have ever had in my life. I spent over $4,000 for parts/service. The parts took almost a month and was installed damaged plus had shoe prints all in side my vehicle. my life. I spent over $4,000 for parts/service. If i could rate them -stars I would. The people acted like it was nothing and that was the sad part. No effort to make it right. Don't use Bowie Chevy service center because they don't value their customers. Wish i could rate them No star because that is how i was treated. More

Disappointing Service Appointment I purchased a certified pre-owned Yukon XL and brought it to Ourisman to to have all the fluids changed and some minor items serviced. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment but when I got there they said they would be with me in a minute and proceeded to stand around for 15 mins until "my" service advisor arrived. Mind you this was the first time I was there so why did i have to wait for "my" service advisor for a half hour when I never had one? Once he arrived I had to tell them everything I wanted done again thus taking another 15+ minutes. So my quick drop off was now at 30 minutes and then I have to wait another 20 minutes for the shuttle. So now I'm into this quick drop off for 50 minutes total! All that was annoying but when I get my car home I notice a slow leak and it turns out they didn't replace the drain plug in my transfer case properly so I needed a return trip. No thanks. I took it to the local GMC dealership which is a little further away but I have no time for Ourisman Chevy. More

Buddy Reio was my service advisor; he i I created an appointment online and brought in my 2010 Traverse for its recalls and TSB’s at Bowie Chevrolet. Buddy Reio was my service advisor; he is very nice, friendly, courteous and responsive. Buddy called to inform me that there would be significant repairs to my vehicle. Buddy explained my repairs and argument to Brian Blakeslee (Service Director). Brian then contacted GM to explain my issue and GM offered to assist with the repairs. I would like to THANK Brian for taking the time to call on my behalf for the assistance and goodwill. Buddy & Brian are extraordinary and professional in handling the service of my vehicle in a timely manner. Oh, TECH. 453 that performed all the work is the BEST!!!
