I came out of a Tesla model 3 so very Very familiar with electric cars, charging stations, etc… I never had an issue with my Tesla and obviously if I had, I probably would’ve never considered another electric car. I bought an ionic five all electric that did not come with the proper adapter and after a road trip, not only got stranded with no heat in an ice storm, but had to be towed because there were no compatible charging stations. Had I had the adapter, it would have been a very different experience. This car should never be sold without an adapter. They did finally send it after this disaster. They took ZERO responsibility, and really didn’t care about my safety. They already had my money!
I’ve had the car for over 6 weeks and the financing is all screwed up because they didn’t properly submit the paperwork. I have called into the finance manager three times this week, and still waiting for a response as to what is going on. There are many dealers out there. I owned a successful business. I would never treat a customer or a client in any way shape or form, the way they did. Management is nasty and the way they berate you is unacceptable.

We have continuously gone around and around with this conversation. At the end of the day, you purchased a Hyundai Ionic, not a Tesla. You were charging the car improperly and you are not willing to admit your fault. I’ve spoken to our office. Your deal has been funded and your plate and refund have been mailed. We are not aware of any issue on our side. This seems to be a reoccurring issue with you making more of something than it really is. Please do not address my staff. Blaming the customer isn’t the solution—yes, I know how to charge an electric car. The real issue is that you sold me a vehicle without the proper adapter needed for charging. That’s a problem you and Hyundai need to resolve and take accountability for.
To the public: The customer service here is terrible. Joy Zellers is extremely rude, and I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Additionally, I have yet to receive a refund or clear information about my financing, which, according to Remy, was mishandled. Perhaps better communication within your team would prevent situations like this.
Brian was very professional and delightful to work with.
