The salesperson was helpful and informative and understood I wasn't ready to buy at that point and in no way pressured me. After deciding upon the Passat SEL Premium, I did my homework on Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book and got prices from most of the VW dealers in the DC/Baltimore area. The initial price quoted from Fitzgerald was competitive with the other lower prices in the area and I came to understand a very straight-forward price (price included rebate & destination fee) leaving only the tax, tags, and dealer processing fee to factor in. This was not the case with other prices that were quoted to me from other dealers. Bret Grant was assigned to me through my Edmunds' inquiry. He came in to meet me late on a Friday even though he was off and when I presented him with the lowest price I'd gotten from another dealership, he quickly worked with the sales manager to gain my business. They met the other dealer's price and gave me what I consider a very fair trade-in for my 2003 Passat. Bret is bright, professional and very knowledgeable about VW products. The sale proceeded quickly and smoothly and while both Brett and the Finance Manager, Luis Linero, offered me a variety of additional options/packages to purchase, neither pressured me in any way; they just laid out the options in an informative way. Bret spent an additional hour+ showing me all the features on the car and how to use them. He has since gotten back to me on additional questions I had and the one (only one!) feature he didn't know about when we did the initial orientation. I recommend the Fitzgerald VW staff with whom I worked. More

I needed to replace my 21 year old daughter's 2002 New Beetle, and given the list of options I gave her she chose the 2012 Jetta S. A coulple of weeks ago I went online to my car buying service and built Beetle, and given the list of options I gave her she chose the 2012 Jetta S. A coulple of weeks ago I went online to my car buying service and built the car. Three dealerships were contacted by the car buying service, and the first two presented offers slightly above invoice. Fitzgerald was the last to contact me, and I was begining to wonder if they would, but before long I received an email stating I would be receiving a phone call. The call came from Brett Grant who offered a price more than $1000 below invoice. They had the exact vehicle I wanted, including color, whereas the other two had "close but not exactly". I went in the next day and test drove the vehicle. Brett offered to show me any other vehicle on the lot, but never put any pressure on me. I liked the vehicle for my daughter, and put down a deposit to hold it while I secured financing form my credit union. Brett offered to run the numbers on financing through VW, but was more than understanding when I declined to use their financing. Again, no pressure. I returned the next day with my daughter and the financing. The process was quick and easy. No one played any games at any time. Not once did I hear "underbody coating". They of course offered the extended warranty and service plan, but when I declined they dropped it immediately. No pressure. I met with the business guy (sorry...forgot his name) briefly to sign all of the paperwork for title and such, again no pressure to buy warranties or paint protectant or anything of that nature. Brett is an enthusiastic VW fan himself, and he seemed to be genuinely excited to show my daughter how to use her new car. From start to finish, this was one of the easiest and most enjoyable car buying experience I have had. More

I recently helped my 20 year old daughter during her purchase of a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta from Fitzgerald Volkswagen of Annapolis, MD. Hands down, it was the most streamlined purchase of a vehicle that I purchase of a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta from Fitzgerald Volkswagen of Annapolis, MD. Hands down, it was the most streamlined purchase of a vehicle that I have ever experienced. The salesman, Mr. Brett Grant, made all of this possible. Prior to our arrival at the showroom, Mr. Grant not only answered many of my questions on the phone, but he promptly called back with answers to several questions requiring research. His research and broad knowledge of the Volkswagen Jetta enabled us to purchase the vehicle (including all necessary paperwork) in under 90 minutes. Many thanks to all the other professionals, including the contract manager that helped us in this purchase. All were courteous, respectful, witty and quite pleasant. Despite the pouring rain, Mr. Grant and the entire staff at Fitzgerald Volkswagen of Annapolis made our whole car-buying experience totally enjoyable. Sincerely, Robert A. Most of the responses i got back were of the "traditional" used car salesman type. Everything centered around me driving 2 hours to the point where i already had so much invested that i would almost feel compelled to follow through with the sale to justify the 4 hour round trip and investment of my time. Bret was honest and realistic from the start, and it was a very refreshing experience. This will be my first stop when it comes time to get the next car! More
