Took my 2020 Ram in for a bad tire pressure sensor warning light. Waited one hour for diagnosis. Service advisor came to me and said it needs a new sensor for $135. I said go ahead and fix it. No more warning light. Waited one hour for diagnosis. Service advisor came to me and said it needs a new sensor for $135. I said go ahead and fix it. No more than five minutes later the advisor returned and said it was done. Seemed strange but they said they fixed it. Looked at the tire as I was leaving and it didn't appear they had removed it, which as far as I know is necessary to replace a tire pressure sensor. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Two weeks later...same problem with warning light for a bad sensor on the same wheel. Returned to the dealership and told them the details and my suspicion that the sensor wasn't replaced to begin with. The advisor tried telling me some story about it having aftermarket wheels and two valve stems, that the tech had previously replaced the sensor but it must be bad again. When I asked about the tire not being removed last time she tried to tell me that the tire sensor (a 1" square plastic part attached to the valve stem) can be replaced without removing the tire. Haha! Finally after a couple hours it was done and I could tell that the tire had actually been removed to replace the sensor this time...thankfully at no additional expense. Very disappointed in the original tech and his "service" as well as the service advisor and her stories attempting to cover for the inept tech. More
