When I brought my car in I was extremely worried, the night before the “engine” light came on. And the car started to run very rough. The young lady that assisted me was very patient and explained every night before the “engine” light came on. And the car started to run very rough. The young lady that assisted me was very patient and explained everything thing they were going to find and correct the issue. It took a little bit, but right not the car is back to its old self charging down the interstate, not acting like it is stuck in neutral. More

Took my 2024 Seltos SX in for my oil change and tire rotation and the associate informed me tbere were 2 software update recalls for my vehicle, which I was not aware of. It gives me piece of mind that rotation and the associate informed me tbere were 2 software update recalls for my vehicle, which I was not aware of. It gives me piece of mind that the service department tracks and keeps up with recalls and software updates so I can be sure to keep my Seltos in the best condition possible. The service team completed all the work and returned my Seltos washed and cleaned. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because this service visit took a little over 3 hours. My apt was at 3 pm and my Seltos wasn’t retuned until 6 pm, I was told the software updates were the cause of the extended time it took to complete this service visit I knew the visit was going to be longer than normal because I was told when I called to schedule the apt that it would take about an hour and 30-45 mins to complete, however, when arriving and checking in with the service dept at 3 pm I was told that it would be around 530 pm so 2.5 hours which ended up being 3 hours.. I know the service techs can’t control how long software updates take but there has to be something that can be done to speed the process up if they use internet to perform the updates they may need to invest in a better internet provider who can provide faster upload and download speeds. With that said the service tech did apologize several times through out the process for the amount of time it was taking and as always everyone I had interaction with was professional, polite, and made you feel seen and heard. I’ve had nothing but exceptional service from the teams at Courage Kia since buying my Seltos SX in August of 2024. I will also point out this dealership is not the closest Kia dealership JTs Kia of Rock Hill is actually closest to me and who I select with when I had my 2017 Kia Forte5 and due to mileage entry errors during my service visits they caused an error that made it appear that myself or someone else had rolled back the mileage on that vehicle. It was Courage Kia who found this data entry error when I traded in my Forte5 for this Seltos SX and took measures to correct the mistake and update carfax and Kia records so there wouldn’t be issues in the future for the new buyer or issues for me lowering the trade in value during the purchase process for my Seltos. That is why I drive the extra distance to do business with Courage Kia in my opinion they care about their customers from the buying process and througout the ownership of the vehicle. I look forward to doing business with them in the future if and when Kia will finally release a Hybrid Seltos I’ll be visiting Courage Kia to inquire about trading my current Seltos for the Hybrid version. They immediately told us it needed a completely new engine to the tune of $13000. They charged us two diagnostic fees even though they only quoted us one (I had it in writing in an email from them). This van was only 12,000 miles past the warranty. They did absolutely nothing to help and went as far as to charge us twice when they didn't need to even though they knew we were in a very tough spot. To top it all off, very shortly after we got an email with a quote for a $13,000 repair, a salesman called us trying to sell us a new car. So shady. Would not recommend at all. More

After I signed the contract, I took the car to my mechanic, and he discovered that the whole undercarriage was rusted. The muffler, the shock absorbers, the rotators. He said it had been in water somewhere and that the car was going to need a lot of money to fix. Plus, he said they did not service the car before they sold it to me or they would have known this and were obligated to disclose this to me, which they did not. He also said the coolant wasn't filled, the oil was dirty and a part of the engine was not secured. I went right back and told them I didn't want the car and they said too bad I signed the contract. I need a car because the car they sold me last June needed repairs that costs me hundreds of dollars until it finally blew a gasket. So, this is the second time I have had to deal with them! I am a 63 year old woman who lives on disability. They took advantage of me and I want them investigated for bad business practices and I want my money back which they refuse to do! Please help me!! People need to know what kind of dealership this is! Now I am out $9,000 dollars and stuck with a car that needs hundreds of dollars in repairs! More

**One-Star Review for Courage Kia, Lowell** I had an extremely disappointing experience at Courage Kia on December 18th. I visited the dealership to address an error message regarding my front left turn extremely disappointing experience at Courage Kia on December 18th. I visited the dealership to address an error message regarding my front left turn signal, even though all signals were functioning. Since I had just purchased the vehicle two weeks prior, I also requested a full inspection for peace of mind. Initially, the service team informed me that the headlight would need replacing, and they claimed it wouldn’t be covered under warranty due to a scratch on the right headlight, quoting me $3,000 for the repair. I pointed out that the issue was with the left turn signal, so why would the right headlight need fixing? After some back-and-forth, they abruptly changed their story, stating it would be covered under warranty and providing me with a date for the part’s arrival. However, the day after my visit, I noticed what appeared to be damage on the passenger side door, which looked consistent with a lift point. Concerned, I called the dealership immediately, and a manager told me to bring the car in at 7:45 AM on December 20th. This was quite an inconvenience as I live two hours away in Asheville. Upon my arrival, the service representative was initially helpful and acknowledged the damage. He mentioned that they would need to schedule a visit to the body shop and apologized for the inconvenience. As we began filling out the paperwork, a man from the back office interrupted and asked about the issue. I explained the situation and showed him the damage. What followed was shocking. He outright denied that the lift could have caused the damage and aggressively asserted that I had done it myself. He pointed to scratches on the undercarriage, claiming they were evidence of a wreck, completely ignoring my explanations and the condition of the opposite side, which showed no damage. His demeanor quickly escalated; he began berating me and yelling. For my safety, I started recording to document the interaction. As tension rose, I told him that he was being unreasonable. He then said I was banned from Kia and dismissed any concerns I had about my warranty claim, insisting it was “my problem now.” His face was inches from mine when he yelled at me to leave, which made me feel threatened. I walked to the parking lot to call Kia of America for assistance, and he continued to shout threats regarding trespassing. To my dismay, after this encounter, I received paperwork indicating that my warranty claim for the headlight was denied due to the same scratch they initially mentioned—on the right side—and the fact that I had considered seeking legal advice because of the treatment I received. The behavior exhibited by this head service manager reflects poorly on the entire Courage Kia dealership. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional behavior at any business, especially early in the morning when I was seeking assistance. I strongly advise potential customers to avoid Courage Kia if you value respectful and courteous service—it’s simply not worth the stress. More
