Diagnosed a noise coming from the engine as a bad pulley & tensioner, even though I mentioned both were recently replaced at another shop. I bit the bullet and had them replace both parts for about $800. Th & tensioner, even though I mentioned both were recently replaced at another shop. The same sound persisted with no change, now the issue was re-diagnosed as a “bad alternator as well as or possibly the AC compressor” neither components we making any sound remotely similar to the one heard during the road test. I opted to take the car back and just keep driving to see if the sound got worse. They did a decent job replacing the pulleys & tensioner, I find it funny they charge $190 to just spitball and say “huh, maybe you should pay to have this replaced and see what happens” More
