I had a whole series of problems with my brand new 2024 Corvette C8 Z07, and the service department struggled to fix the issues. After taking it back and forth multiple times, (I had it in and out of the Corvette C8 Z07, and the service department struggled to fix the issues. After taking it back and forth multiple times, (I had it in and out of there at least 5 times, they would say that the car was fixed, and nothing was fixed... and then having my brand new $160,000 car for more than 5 weeks total,) In addition, it was a very frustrating buying experience from the salesperson who lied to me during the initial sale (I was adamant about not installing Onstar in my name on the vehicle because at the time, Onstar was reporting all driving activity to Lexis Nexis. The salesman told me that I HAD to install Onstar onto the car and in my name, or else his dealership wouldn't get credit for the sale of the vehicle through GM, so it was mandatory. He later admitted to me that wasn't true after I found out the truth online and called him out on it. Come to find out, that was so that he could get a bonus from Onstar, NOT so that the dealership would get credit for the sale of the vehicle.). The service department couldn't get the multiple issues fixed that were there from the factory, but each time I would pick it up (after driving 45 minutes from my house to the dealership, getting a ride back home each time) they would say it was fixed and it wasn't. One time I picked it up from service and it was so ridiculously filthy that it looked like it had been driven through a mud pit. Before I dropped it off that time, I'd just spent $7500 getting the car installed with full PPF and ceramic coating, so it was fully detailed and completely spotless when I dropped it off there. The GM got involved after I was finally so irritated that I shared my frustration with him, and he was top notch, which is the only reason I'm giving my experience a 2 star instead of a 1 star. And yet still mutliple issues with the car never got fixed from the service department, even after he got involved. I was on the waiting list for this car for 3.5 years, and it's the most I've ever spent on a vehicle in my entire life. It was also the worst buying experience I've ever had, and I've bought many many cars during my 50 years on this earth. So it was disappointing to say the least. I finally gave up on Jim Butler Chevrolet and took it to Elco Chevrolet in Ballwin, MO. instead. The mechanic Elco knew what he was doing and had every issue resolved in less than two hours, and that's not an exaggeration. 5 weeks of painful experience with Jim Butler resolved in two hours. More
