Service department is TRASH, stay away. I went in to have the brakes replaced on my 3 year old SUV. Just a regular brake job. Replace pads and rotors. Took about 8 days, which seemed very excessive for a brake job. Got the car back, everything seemed fine at first, then the brakes started to squeak. And it was bad, much worse than when they needed to be replaced. And mind you, these were now brand new brakes! Brought the car back, service writer Ben took it for a test drive and said it's normal!! WHAT?? Finally he agreed to keep the car overnight so they can check it out. The next day we get a message from Ben saying that something was done incorrectly the first time, and they will replace them again. Hurray! We get the car back, everything seems fine, and surprise surprise, the brakes start to squeak again... I call them back, speak to Ben, and he says "well you know, the Germans probably changed some things around so it might squeak a little now..." This is a 3 year old SUV with 30k miles and squeaky brakes. How is this normal?? After some more back and forth, he says that someone from scheduling will call back to setup a time so we can get a loaner car. Of course no one called back. When we do setup the appointment, this will be the 3rd visit to fix the brakes. How many more times will we have to come in to get this done? No one really knows. It seems like replacing brake pads is a very complicated and hard job... To be continued. Before you bring your car here for service, I urge you to go somewhere else first. More

An internet search initially led me to Knauz Continental Autos 3 years ago while I was pursuing a competitive lease for what would be my 2nd Mercedes GLA. I’d previously leased 5 Mercedes vehicles prior to Autos 3 years ago while I was pursuing a competitive lease for what would be my 2nd Mercedes GLA. I’d previously leased 5 Mercedes vehicles prior to that from 3 different M-B Dealers. The prompt & polite email responses received from Sales Associate Peter Polanski led to a few phone conversations and an eventual trip from my residence in Detroit to Knauz Autos in Lake Bluff. The selection, interaction, and process there were vastly superior to any of my previous ones - so much so that when Peter contacted me recently regarding my current lease and upcoming expiration, I was confidant he’d make my new lease equally easy and satisfying. The 5 hour commute from Detroit to Knauz Autos is well worth it in my mind and I’m absolutely thrilled with the striking new, ultra-optioned A Class that Peter facilitated. In addition, I had the pleasure of dealing with Vijay Zaveri, who made the financial details easy to understand and efficient and Ben De Garcia in the Service Dept. who promptly attended to my special tire needs. The delivery & vehicle orientation was performed by Juan Villarreal. He was extremely thorough, but his ability to explain functions and pleasant personality also made that process easy to understand and quite exciting. More

I have been a highly satisfied customer of Knauz and have bought several cars there. The sales team is terrific, in particular Peter Polanski. And so is the service staff. I have been visiting Knauz for regular maintenance for several years. I recently bought a new Mercedes and was extremely satisfied.
