I recently bought a vehicle at Corwin Toyota. I was working with Belal the entire time. I went down to Fargo because I had made an appointment at 10:00am to test drive a vehicle. I arrive at the dealership not only was the vehicle not ready, once it was ready to test drive the gas tank was empty. It was just one thing after another. Although I really liked the vehicle once Belal was aware I didn’t have my current vehicle with me to trade it in you could see a change in his demeanor. After thinking about it I notified Belal that I wanted to move forward with the purchasing process. I drove down to Fargo to sign paperwork and trade in my current vehicle. Belal had informed me that my vehicle was all ready and that I just needed to sign paperwork. I arrived at the dealership to sign paperwork and trade in. When we arrived Belal said he needed to go start the paperwork process, but also took my current vehicle to wholesale to get a trade in quote. I was unaware he was taking my vehicle to wholesale at that time else I would’ve removed personal belongings such as wallet etc. Moe a financial manager came over to talk to me regarding the process of paperwork which all went fairly smoothly. Moe had asked me what I got for a trade in since paperwork was already to be signed. Belal forgot my vehicle was at wholesale and never got a quote. Moe was able to call wholesale and get a trade in order. I then started paperwork, however everything was explained throughly by Moe, I never received any documents or hard copies of the paperwork I had signed. I had to REQUEST it to be emailed it to be as we were about to leave the office to get the new vehicle. Belal came and got me stating everything was once again ready. My new vehicle was in the dealership since it had gotten full tank of gas and was cleaned prior. Belal then backed the car out and parked it while I got my belongings from my current vehicle. Belal then got out and said that the check engine light was on. But it hadn’t been prior. I was very disappointed due to the fact he wouldn’t even help us figure out the code or what could potentially be wrong. He specifically said that it was 6:20pm and the dealership technically closes at 6:00pm. He also mentioned since I had already signed paperwork and wrote a personal check he couldn’t do anything about it. Very disappointing especially since it was the first time I had purchased a vehicle from a dealership. Needless to say I won’t be coming back or recommending Corwin Toyota. Not only again did he not do anything for me he suggested I take it to a different dealership to have it looked at. More

Encourage sales to limit their passive aggressive comments. Statement told to me when I asked about a crack/chip in the windshield “well we didn’t dock you for the issue with your backup camera that comments. I confronted him about his comment and he did apologize and said it’s just what his manager had said. (He also said another comment while at his desk when talking about our trade in … we brushed that off.) It was a signed purchase agreement that the end gate would have been fixed (foot sensor and close button doesn’t work). The salesman did arrange service dept. I came in as scheduled, vehicle was at Corwin 8:30-4:00p and it wasn’t fixed- told its under warranty and bring it to a dealership. The gal at the service dept told me the salesman would be calling me to help arrange this. He never did call. I had 1k miles left before warranty expired. Issue with this, we asked about the current warranty on the vehicle before we purchased it, but he didn’t catch (nor his continuous conversations he had to leave his desk to ask the manager about) that the end gate wasn’t going to be fixed by Corwin. I get that ford covers the issue under warranty and this is toyota, but he didn’t have the experience to know Corwin wasn’t going to fix it?? I’m coming from Alexandria MN, waited without a vehicle in Fargo for almost 8 hours and left with the end gate not fixed. We contacted our local dealership ourselves. More

Bella was unhelpful and unresponsive to our interests. He showed no interest in helping us find the vehicle we were interested in, and more interested in offloading $60k vehicles to us that met essentiall He showed no interest in helping us find the vehicle we were interested in, and more interested in offloading $60k vehicles to us that met essentially zero of the criteria we gave him. I know that sales' priority is to move the vehicles they have on the lot, but he showed *zero* interest in helping us find something that might be at another Toyota dealership. He was also dismissive of some of our reasons for wanting the kind of vehicle we wanted, continually trying to sell us on something that was on the lot. In short, if you know what you want just check Corwin's inventory online and save yourself the trip if it's not on the lot, you'll get zero help if they can't sell you a vehicle they already have in stock. More
