This review is for the service department at Mercedes-Benz of Oxnard. I had originally brought my car to a trusted family mechanic to see what the problem was when a check engine light turned on Mercedes-Benz of Oxnard. I had originally brought my car to a trusted family mechanic to see what the problem was when a check engine light turned on. And they advised me that it was a problem with a certain part that dealt with the transmission. However, they could not do the repairs because Mercedes would not sell them the part so we would have to bring it to Mercedes. They advised us that the part would cost around $450-$500. However, when we brought the car to Mercedes, they gave us a service estimate of $4500. So we paid the $4500 and while the car was in their care, another check engine light turned on and they advised us that it would be another $1600 to repair that issue. They had the car for two months when they finally returned it to us on the same day within hours of receiving the car another check engine light turned on and they advised us that it would be another $1800 to fix that light. November 2023 we had also brought the car in for another light issue which cost around $2500-$2800 and with in that same service, another light came on and they advised us it would be an extra cost. The total cost of repair in November around $3400. The repair service at Mercedes of Oxnard seems very Untrustworthy, With the Estimates constantly changing from the initial amount. They take no accountability and constantly attribute the issue to the car being older. How is it that we bring the car in for one check engine light issue and they say they fixed it only for two more lights to turn on… at what point as a consumer do I start to mistrust them and believe that the new issues are of their doing to make extra money. Because everyone knows most of a dealership’s profit comes from the service department. These people do not take accountability and I want everyone to be aware and beware before they bring their car in for service and have to deal with the same shady business tactic and practices that we have had the misfortune of deal with with. I’m sure we are not the only people they are pulling this stunt on, I also believe they were trying to take advantage of my dad because it seems like he’s not very English fluent and because of his accent. It was only when I began to speak to the service advisor that they seemed to change their tune. It seems like every time we bring our car in for service for one issue they find many more issues to charge us thousands of dollars more for. Please help, the car has been in their possession for three months now and we do not want to keep paying them thousands of dollars. They keep telling us it’s one problem and conveniently for them more problems arise that cost us more money. More

My worst car service experience ever. On 19 May 23 I went Mercedes Benz of Oxnard to address two issues with my car. 1. When charging at level 3 charger message appeared that vehicle is not accepting DC charge and service is required. 2. When parked, front suspension going down, unbeknown to me causing damage to front end shroud on parking curb/stop when backing from parking spot. Service Advisor stated that parts need to be ordered and it will take at least 10 days maybe longer since holiday was coming. After two weeks I called and was advised That parts are in, so I made an appointment to bring in the car, 28 June. At this time there was mention of the cost of the repairs, I was under impression that it will be covered under warranty. Few days later I check on the status and was told that parts need to be order, I stated that parts should be in. On 7 July I was presented with $1362.3 bill with statement that it was my fault that car was damaged, that I must have push the button to lower my car (US models do not have that function) and was advised not to park over parking curb/stop. Repairs were done haphazardly, front panel and side panel are misaligned, when I pointed this out, service advisor said why I did not show it before, where is the quality control? During my last visit on 20 July, I was given phone number to Mercedes Benz Customer care. More

I read all the negative reviews of Mercedes Benz of Oxnard and thought I would write a positive one. We purchased our Sprinter about 2 years ago and worked with Javier and Gerard. They were nice sale Oxnard and thought I would write a positive one. We purchased our Sprinter about 2 years ago and worked with Javier and Gerard. They were nice salesmen and seemed fair. It was 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic and we were looking at any dealer that had a van or could get the van we wanted. At that time the supply was very limited and Gerard gave us a call and said he had one coming in that met our specifications. We paid full MRPS and we were happy with that because of the lack of inventory. We have brought our van in twice for service. Once for a couple of recall items and just recently for our 2 year service. Barry and Zeev in the service department were great. We have had not had any proplems or issues with our Sprinter and it has been an awesome vehicle so far. I would recommend Mercedes of Oxnard because from my experience everyone I have been involved with there has been professional and courteous. Service is not cheap for these sprinters but I believe the work Oxnard dealership does is excellent. More

Please avoid this place at all costs. Or it will cost you lots of time. If they break something while they are working on your car they will deny it. Even if it’s very obvious it doesn’t Or it will cost you lots of time. If they break something while they are working on your car they will deny it. Even if it’s very obvious it doesn’t matter because they will lie about it. This happened when I had a windshield repaired and they damaged the headliner on the interior. They said it’s impossible for this to happen because they do it from the outside. I think they are in denial because it did occur. When somebody lies to you they usually try and flip it and make it sound like you are the liar. That makes it worse. When I brought it in to fix the headliner and do other work, another new sound from my axle started after I brought it in. They could not figure out the problem after having it in their possession for a week. So, my attorney advised me to get the car from them before next step. I am getting the problem fixed at another shop and they will document the problem for my attorney. If you’re reading this do not go to this shop they are a disaster. More

I have a RV built on the MB Sprinter van chassis. Before I made an appointment to bring my vehicle to Oxnard MB I called to confirm that the dealer had all the necessary equipment to work on my vehicle. Aft I made an appointment to bring my vehicle to Oxnard MB I called to confirm that the dealer had all the necessary equipment to work on my vehicle. After I towed it there It took four days to diagnose the problem which I was charged $390 for. (A far price if they could do a professional repair) When I called to check on it the service writer said, “it’s up on the lift right now” I’ll get back to you. According to Oxnard MB my vehicle needed a complete new engine and They were supposedly going to do the work without raising the vehicle. It’s hard enough to do an oil change on your back let alone a complete engine replacement. If I had wanted to have a Mercedes dealer work on my vehicle without means to lift it I would have taken it to my local Mercedes dealer 8 miles away not Oxnard which is 116 miles from me. The local dealer also services sprinter vans but recommended taking it to another dealer because they can’t put a motor home on their lifts. It cost me $1000 to tow it to Oxnard MB and then another few hundred to tow it out of there to Thousand Oaks MB. They are set up to do this kind of work. When I first got the diagnosis from Oxnard (think I would have it repaired there) I visited the dealer to prepay for ordering the parts only to find out at that time I had been lied to regarding Oxnard’s MB service capability. I should have read all the negative reviews before I trusted them. Watch out for this dealer who is untrustworthy, unresponsive, and incompetent More
