I brought my Volkswagen Atlas to this dealership because I needed to find out whether it came with a factory-installed towing package. The trailer company I worked with told me there was no power going to the tow hitch wiring. I simply asked the service department to check if towing was part of my vehicle’s original equipment or if I needed an adapter.
Instead of giving me a straight answer, they told me to bring the car and the adapter back. I took the car back they kept my car for over a week. I wasn’t offered a loaner vehicle, wasn’t provided with a ride, and had to follow up myself to find out what was going on. At the end of it, they charged me over $280, and all I got was a vague explanation saying there was power and I should just “connect it.” That’s something they could’ve told me the first day. No actual repairs were done to the connector.
I tried speaking with a manager, but they stood by the charge. It felt like they were more interested in billing me than helping me. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced poor service here — they never seem to have loaner cars, and I’ve never been treated with the respect or support I expect as a customer. Honestly, this place feels unwelcoming, especially for women who aren’t treated seriously when asking about their vehicles.
I won’t be coming back. If you value your time, money, and basic courtesy, I strongly suggest finding another dealership. And I will be trading in my Volkswagen because I can’t ever imagine having to deal with this people again.

To clarify, your Volkswagen Atlas is equipped with a factory-installed towing control module that automatically operates trailer brakes and makes necessary adjustments. The aftermarket trailer brake adapter provided was not compatible with your vehicle’s system, and our team communicated this during the diagnostic process.
Regarding the charges:
The $204.00 diagnostic fee was approved by you before the work was performed.
The additional charge was for a cabin air filter replacement, which was also authorized at the time of service.
While we recognize your disappointment, no repairs were performed beyond what you approved. We aim to be transparent in our communication and recommendations, and we’re sorry to hear that you felt unsupported throughout the process. We also regret that a loaner vehicle was not available during your visit — availability can vary, and we apologize for the inconvenience that this caused.
Your feedback about feeling disrespected, particularly as a woman, is something we take seriously. Every customer deserves to be treated with professionalism, transparency, and respect. We will be reviewing this internally to ensure every member of our team upholds these standards.
