1 Star – Document Everything If You Shop Here I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one. I was actively negotiating a vehicle with a salesperson named Arvin. He told me he was f leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one. I was actively negotiating a vehicle with a salesperson named Arvin. He told me he was finishing up with another customer and would secure the car for me next. Based on that assurance, I immediately submitted a credit application and followed up to confirm status. He told me the car was mine. Not “we’ll try.” Not “if it’s still available.” Mine. A few hours later, I received a call from him apologizing and informing me that the vehicle had been sold to someone else. That means one of two things happened: 1. I was misled. 2. The dealership continued to shop the vehicle to other buyers after telling me it was secured. Neither scenario reflects well. When I escalated to the sales manager, AJ, instead of taking accountability, he attempted to redirect the conversation toward selling me a different car and repeatedly said, “I understand how upset you are,” while avoiding responsibility for what actually occurred. This isn’t about losing out on a specific vehicle. Cars sell. I understand that. This is about integrity and representations made to customers while collecting credit applications and personal information. If a dealership tells you a vehicle is secured and encourages you to complete financing paperwork, that should carry weight. Otherwise, what exactly does their word mean? Buyers should proceed carefully, get everything in writing, and understand that verbal assurances here may not reflect actual availability. I will be sharing this experience on additional platforms.
