Disappointed It wasn’t a very good experience for me, especially with this being my first car. The process to get the car in general was a little lengthy, but that It wasn’t a very good experience for me, especially with this being my first car. The process to get the car in general was a little lengthy, but that wasn’t my main issue. The issues started when I noticed the backseat of my car was dislocated. The car salesman, Arion (who is a great and went above and beyond for me in more ways than one by the way), took care of it and got the necessary paperwork for me to have the car seat replaced. The sales manager told me to leave it to him and that he would make the appointment for me so I can bring my car in to get the car seat change. About 3 days go by and I don’t hear anything from the car sales manager or the service center so I had to make a point myself in person (this wouldn’t have rubbed me the wrong way had the manager not given me his word that he would make the appointment for me; otherwise I would’ve done it myself). I made the appointment and came in the next day. When I came in the female representative said it was a different type appointment (due to the type of service the required the paper that was given to me) and I had to remake the appointment (Please keep in mind that I showed the staff at the service center the paper I received from the car salesman explaining what needed to be done and I told them who I needed to speak with, which was Claudia). I come in about three days later, because that was the next availablity, to have the car seat replaced. I still wasn’t seen because upper manaagement wouldn’t approve the paperwork because it was too expensive to replace the seat. So I ended up waiting another week and change just to get my car seat taken care of. Please keep in mind, the ONLY reason why I was able to get my back seat was because the car salesmen did everything in his power to make it happen. Upper management never approved the replacement. That was strike one. Strike to was the fact that it took over a month just to get the car mats ordered and received. I literally had to keep calling and following up with them in order to get the car mats. Strike three was the way the car battery just died less than three months of my having the car. I spoke to the manager and he provided a plethora of reasons as to why it wasn’t on them and there was nothing that they could do. Keep in mind, as I previously mentioned, this is my first time have a car in general so you would think that a company would try to accommodate you somehow. Even if they couldn’t give me a free battery they could have given me a discount on a battery or something. What made it worse was that I went to a different Honda service center in a more suburban area (which is really where I should’ve gone in the first place) and I had no problems getting a new battery. The service was impeccable at this location and it was day and night in comparison to Route 22 Honda’s subpar customer service. I definitely won’t be coming back to do business with Route 22 Honda in the future and I absolutely would not refer this location to anyone that I know. It’s too much of a headache. More

Fantastic place, great customer service! ” This dealership was top notch! Ralph Mosley went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the car I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions This dealership was top notch! Ralph Mosley went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the car I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions and his advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. After I decided on a car the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I felt like family by the end of the whole process! I would recommend Ralph Mosley to anyone who is looking for a new or used vehicle. More

Sales and Service A- Bought a "CERTIFIED" Civic 2016. I can honestly say the sales process was pleasant and efficient. Then I had to wait for my title. It took 4 months an Bought a "CERTIFIED" Civic 2016. I can honestly say the sales process was pleasant and efficient. Then I had to wait for my title. It took 4 months and multiple calls to the manager before I received the title to my car, (I had paid cash). The manager would take days to return my calls and sometimes a week politely apologizing. Once I received the title the manager and I joked about the ordeal and it was done. The day after I had picked up the title I took the Civic to a local (Paramus) Honda Service facility where I had previously made an appointment for the tire pressure alarm to be reset. I had added air to a low tire and that triggered the alarm. At this point I had driven about 2000 miles. There I was told the brakes had pitted rust needing to be scored and both motor and cabin filters were dirty needing to be replaced! (My Civic is kept in a garage). Admittedly, when I did the initial test drive with the salesperson the brakes screeched. Before I accepted the car the salesperson stated the service department found the brakes were rusted and the brakes were fixed. On the 2nd test drive with the sales person the brakes were quiet. Not sure what fix they did but I know the pitting didn't happen in 4 months. I believe if the car was efficiently looked over before it was sold as it was when I brought it in for the "Low Tire Pressure Reset" these items would have been identified and corrected before it was sold as "CERTIFIED". Certainly the filters would have been changed. I took the report from my local Honda Dealer and showed it to the RT 22 Honda manager. He said he would see what he could do for me and call me "Tuesday". Didn't get a call Tuesday so I made the visit to RT 22 Honda on Wednesday. Better HAVE YOUR OWN MECHANIC check the car BEFORE you buy "CERTIFIED" at RT 22 HONDA in Hillside, NJ.! The manager did not make amends offering these were maintenance items and 30 days had past. He did offer to get me a repair appointment and to make the repairs at a price close to what I had been quoted at my local Honda Dealer and a full tank of gas.. I decided not to accept his offer as I felt I could not trust the job would be done properly. After all they reportedly "fixed" the brakes 4 months ago. As I said in the title the sales specialist was excellent assuming the salesperson didn't know details about the repair?! Dealing with the Manager was more difficult as he was too busy to return my calls "promptly" as his voice mail greeting states he will. Now that you are informed of the possibilities when buying "Certified" you're smarter than I was when I made my purchase! Times have changed, This is my 4th used car purchase in many years of driving and this was a first for me, Addendum: Responding to Howard Newman's request I spoke with him and discussed the above information. He requested I take the car to RT 22 Hillside to be evaluated and assured me he would have the brakes fixed or replaced if needed. Also, the filters would be changed. I brought my vehicle to the RT 22 Honda Service facility for them to inspect the rear brakes and filters. Their findings were that there was nothing wrong with the rear brakes. (This was verified by my local mechanic). The filters did need changing and they were replaced. The responses to my questions were thorough and informative. Maintenance service needed was explained and I decided to have it done there. A maintenance schedule going forward was outlined. In conclusion I will continue to have at least some of the needed service done at this facility in the future. Additionally, I will go to the Paramus Honda service facility and speak with the General Manager about the pictures of "my brakes" showing pitted rust which caused me and others involved a lot of unnecessary aggravation!
