When I started working for Stohlman Subaru as a lot porter in December 2008, I was just another Impreza owner in LOVE with my Subaru. I honestly knew very little about the other vehicles Subaru offers, or even about Stohlman Automotive itself. Since then, I have learned quite a lot about both companies and their dedication to providing exceptional customer service as a sales person, finance manager and now as the Subaru sales manager. In and out in 2 hours with the exact vehicle we wanted for the price we offered with excellent service from Ryan Jones, the sales manager, Jim Heiman, our 'personal assistant' with the test drive and getting familiar with the car, and a smooth transaction facilitated by the business manager Anson Lee Sam. We'll never go anywhere else and will send friends and family to Ryan, no question! Ryan Jones' prompt, professional and extremely courteous email manners distinguished him right away from 6 other Subaru Dealerships I was in contact with. After a weeks worth of research, I offered him a price I deemed fair, and he didn't hesitate to accept it. I couldn't wait to meet him! I wasn't disappointed! Young, yet experienced, and full of energy, we were welcomed like family members. After our time with Jim Heiman getting to know the car we wanted to purchase, Ryan made sure without a flinch that the agreed upon price ended up on our check without a bunch of miscellaneous other charges and fees. Bravo! Hats off to you, Ryan! Just before we were to leave and were saying our good byes, Jim pointed out a small superficial blemish on the back of the car. Ryan didn't hesitate one moment, jumped in the car, took it to the detailing department and was back seconds later, with the spot perfectly buffed to perfection. In parting conversation we learned about Ryan's family, and why it is so important for him to make sure as customers we know about all the safety features, since we at times have car seats for our grandchildren in the rear, and also that the Subaru Forester is the best vehicle for seasoned adults. All in all there was so much joy and laughter, little anecdotes swapped, ... in the end I felt I needed to hug my Car sales man! Now how many times does that happen?? Ryan gave us the warmest welcome to the Stohlman Subaru family, assured us that this is the way the owner wants his customers to feel, and reminded us that this was the beginning of a journey and personal relationship with Subaru of Tysons. We will be invited back for a personal Q&A after two weeks of driving our new car, as well as to monthly tech clinics that are free of charge with refreshments and food at no charge. I'm greatly looking forward to remain friends with all the people we encountered during our first experience at Stohlman Subaru of Tysons! Jim Heiman, who was assigned to us to take us out to drive a couple of vehicles, is the kindest, most patient, relaxed and most polite companion you could wish for when purchasing a vehicle. He's very knowledgeable and took all the time it took to familiarize us with all the new tech and computer features that come with the car, that we more mature folks are not intuitively drawn to. He didn't hesitate to go over a couple of questions twice, was most polite and courteous even if he had explained something before, friendly and accommodating in a caring way. He makes you feel comfortable around him right away. No aggressive sales techniques, more like a buddy who's going to do his best to make you aware of what a good choice you've made by selecting this vehicle. Several time he reminded us that he'll be there for us any time, even after we drive off the lot, and invited us back to a personal session in about two weeks time, at no charge, to answer any and all questions we most likely will have after driving the car for a couple of weeks. Thank you, Jim! And lastly I want to mention how pleasant it was to complete the financial transaction with Business manager Anson Lee Sam. Another very courteous, polite and calm personality, Anson instilled that same calm in us as he patiently explained the different extended warranty options, some of them twice. Even our declining them for now did not affect his smooth and professional manner. Friendly and confident, he made this part a pleasant experience as well. We cannot thank you enough, Ryan, Jim and Anson!!! We made great friends and will come to see you again!! More

I gave Richie the best price and he called me back 5 minutes later. Stohlman Automotive beat the best price by enough that I turned the car around and "crossed the bridge to Virginia". More

Fantastic Experience Recently purchased a Forester from Stolman's in Tyson's Corner. We had been shopping around for a while and knew exactly what we wanted. We had gotten into some pretty serious negotiations with a few other dealerships but had to walk away because they just weren't budging on price and would not throw in any extras. Not even floor mats...FLOOR MATS?!? Are you kidding, that's what you're supposed to get for free. When we found a vehicle at Stolman's we emailed and coordinated a time to test-drive. We were only able to visit at a specific date/time, and Kelvin came in on his day off to show us the Forester. He was very honest on the phone and in person. The car was immaculate and he threw in all kinds of extras, including floor mats which we didn't even ask for. After the test drive and working with Kelvin, we were passed to Anson the finances/title/license guy and that was just as smooth. Anson got everything processed in the time promised and continued communication the whole way through. Stolman's was a breeze. So helpful, low pressure, very accommodating. The salesperson who worked with me - Chris La Porte - could not have been nicer. He worked with me to identify the car I that best met my needs. He treated me with respect. I had done some research on the type of Subaru I was looking for, and Chris worked with me to make sure I was getting the car I wanted. He did not try to pressure me into any "up-sale". In fact, one of the cars I was originally interested in was a couple of thousand dollars more than the car that better met my needs, and that I ultimately purchased. I got a very fair price for my trade-in. After I found the car I wanted, I worked with Anson to make sure the car would be properly registered (I live in Florida, and wanted to be certain that my car would be registered there). Anson was efficient, friendly, and business-like. If you're looking for a Subaru dealership where you'll be treated with respect by knowledgeable and efficient people, Stohlman's in Tyson's Corner won't disappoint you. More
