Thank you, On August 30, 2024, I gave my truck to Ford Services for a guaranteed repair of my transmission. This car is my only source of income as a single mother of 3. I waited over a month to get a loan for this car. My Ram 1500, 2021 only had 34,000 miles. It was new and beautiful. This truck was keeping my entire business afloat. Without this income i have no way to take care of my family. On September 16th, I was informed by Ford that my car had crashed in the streets of NY and declared a total loss (by incident report made by local police). I was told not to worry about anything, they will handle the insurance and make sure I have a car. On September 28th they called me to say they wanted their loaned car back - which was supposed to be with me until the end of October. I kindly asked for them to extend the time for the loaned car as I had no truck, my insurance still hadn't been figured out (as promised by them), and i had no new financing. Nothing but stress. The next day a very hostile lady called me curing and yelling claiming I was keeping their car “hostage”, and that they were not responsible for my total loss car. She threatened to report me to the police if I didn't return the car immediately. It was the evening and I lived 1 hour away from the place and would have no car to come back home with. She called me a liar saying they didnt crash my truck. How is that true? Who crashed my car, Charles? If i left it at your service and one of your employees are cursing at me saying they didnt do it then who did? I called her managers and they kindly allowed me to return the car the next day. The following morning nobody tried to hear me, help me or understand me. General Manager of Ford Charles Riccotoni met with me and ignored me totally. He said this had nothing to do with Ford in a very arrogant and condescending tone. Now let's think logically, if I gave my truck to Ford over a month ago and now that said truck is totaled and gone, whose fault is it? If it was in the responsibility of Ford and they messed up its not their fault? Instead of reasoning with me they instead tried to sell me one of their own trucks. Even if I wanted to, because I bought this car a year ago my credit score is still down, so I wouldn't get approval. No help was offered whatsoever. So, Charles, from what I have gathered here, Ford service believes it is fair to crash and destroy a person's car, send one of their employees to scream and curse at them and offer no help or compensation in return. This is extremely disappointing as I thought Ford was a big car company that takes care of their reputation. More
