Very responsive and highly competitive on price!
! We priced an Acadia and they were the most fairly priced in the region.

At first, they were very friendly and agreeable. We’d settled on a price and they were going to fix a small repair for free. When we went to pick it up, we were told it would be an additional $1,800 for the repair. Even after showing them the text they’d sent saying it would be free, they said we’d have to pay. The Sales Manager (Andy Boyce) told me he’d tried to call me that afternoon to give me a heads up, but I got no call. I asked him to show me when he’d called, and he started making excuses saying that their “power had gone out” earlier in the afternoon and that’s probably why the call hasn’t gone through. Reading other reviews, it seems my experience was not unusual here. Zero integrity and the very epitome of the “used car salesman” stigma.

Elevation Chevrolet GMC of Boone responded
This is Stephen Mason and I am the General Manager at Elevation Chevrolet GMC and I felt I needed to respond to this review. I always try to be agreeable and side with my customers understanding that it is not easy to purchase a vehicle. Having said that I don't feel your side of the story is accurate by any stretch. To imply that we have zero integrity is not a fair statement to what we preach here and within our community. We strive to do the right thing. In the case of the vehicle you were looking at, we were told by the other party with you that the vehicle needed a new U-joint. At that point we chose to handle the repair. Once under the vehicle our Master Tech notified us that the U-joint was fine. We wanted a second opinion so we sent the vehicle to Toyota where the same thing was confirmed. I then said that the repair was not needed but in the event it failed in the first 12 months we would honor the repair at no charge. You still wanted the U-joint fixed and Toyota notified us that it was not possible to do that without replacing drive shaft which would be an additional $1700. This was stated pretty plainly by Toyota. Please understand that we never had a problem doing the repair but were told it was not necessary. Cosmetically there was surface rust but the vehicle was operating perfectly. The idea that we did not want your business is not fair to us as a Dealership and we are very sorry for any inconvenience we caused you. If you would like to speak to me directly I can be reached at 205-234-3955 and would love to discuss this further. Thank you again for your time.
