The Service department is not the Sales department. Infact, if anything Service needs to take a lesson from Sales department in how to deal and communicate with people and give the honor and respect th Infact, if anything Service needs to take a lesson from Sales department in how to deal and communicate with people and give the honor and respect that customer deserves when they spend 40 to 50K or more outright. Point blank period. A person actions and body language speaks more than a thousands of words. They come into Service department just after purchase week ago and made appointment then get there pull in nobody there. You walk in no Service advisors. You say to yourself OK hmm. Then lady walks out can I help u. Have appointment. Sternly. Name please. Gave it. Well sir it says here drop off for appt. I replied no I will wait. I never said or put drop off. Why would I do that. I drove from North Canton to get here. Rolling of Eyes face movement of yeah right. Well sir u put drop off here and it will be 7 or 8 hours before we get it back to u so if u want to wait that long ok in straight sarcastic tone. I said nah Ill go home. Spoke with Eric GM Sales mgr who went to Service mgr short girl who was allegedly not there then miraculously appeared. There gonna give me a loaner car. My Truck literally sitting there in the drive in bay with 10 am appt. Not looked at and there already offering loaner vehicle. Well what were u expecting. Simple I made appt you confirmed the appt I said I would wait I never put drop off. I expect you to honor the appt and get my truck in take care of if now. Not when u want to get to it. Just bought it. I was flustered yes anyone would been. But instead of fighting with these folks who obviously dont give a rats butt about you, except get the sale not worth it. I looked at Eric and whoever this Service manager was said I will follow up with Chris Marhofer and go to Serra. The Service manager was like by facial expression yeah right. Eric said you have that right. Im very sorry for how you were treated. Spoke to Chris Marhofer Ower he took in what I said and was very apologetic and very disappointed in his staff. He assured me he would deal with them. No one should get treated that way. He wanted me to come back. But I stated no Ill go to Serra. I called. Serra welcomed me right away and fully assured me that I would be taken care of at my appt time. You know folks in today's generation no matter where u go it's so hard to get people to work. These youngins are something else. I know Chris no doubt has problems in this area at his service departments. I think reasons why they have the wait times they do. Not enough staff. So if not enough staff, stop confirming appts you can't handle. You wouldn't have the issue. But it doesn't change the facts a major purchase was made in good faith from your dealership and you couldn't deliver service to said vehicle. More
