Spent way longer than I was suppose to. And had to come back the next day because the tech didn't follow the step by step instructions for the programming of the infotainment center module. And had a dent above my radio which wasn't there before. Which I knew they would deny that. But I don’t put anything on my dash. They also have the nerve to tell me my front bumper needs to be fixed because there’s no license plate but there’s holes there. When I bought the vehicle I told them not to put holes in the front bumper and they did it anyway. I put the bracket on the back. When I took it for the ceramic coating they took it upon theirselves to take the bracket from the back and drill more holes in the front bumper. I’ve had nothing but problems with this service department. I started going else where. Thought I would give them another chance because they are now closer. I will be driving the extra hour and a half to the next VW dealer. More

Dealership has had my car since January 29. It is March 7. I have paid them $3800 and will have to pay them almost $1500 more when they finally get around to fixing it. Communication is terrible, and they will hang up on you if you question them too much. Do your research before buying a VW. They are known for oil leaks. Avoid VW and this dealership altogether. More

The service dept. is dishonest and practicing questionable business practices. They insisted that we pay for the diagnostic, when it was already diagnosed by another m is dishonest and practicing questionable business practices. They insisted that we pay for the diagnostic, when it was already diagnosed by another mechanic. They both diagnosed the same issue. When fixing the issue, they caused more damage to my vehicle and denied ownership of doing so. Refused to do the right thing and cover the $5,000 expense. Spoke to several other mechanics who specialize in that area and they all agreed the service dept. caused the problem. Machen’s VW agreed to not charge me for labor fees, but they should have covered the entire expense. Since then I’ve heard about other issues from individuals, such as not completing their full inspections that were paid for only to have that person return to get issue resolved. Another individual was told there was a recall that had expired and would cost them $700. Only after doing their own research it was discovered their vehicle didn’t have a recall. I’m not sure where the breakdown is occurring in the service dept. I know the service manager lied to our face and changed her story several times to get them out of paying for their error. I spoke to the general manager, who covered for the service department as well. Regardless, I highly recommend that you go elsewhere if you need a mechanic. It’ll save you money and frustration if you do. More
