“Does it matter? - Rodrigo
“Does it matter? Y’all aren’t going to buy it anyway.” said in an aggressive, irritated tone, almost like he was talking down to us.
This is what Joseph at Kia Parkway said to me when I simply asked about pricing if we came back after comparing other dealerships. Then he walked off and drove the car away. That level of disrespect is unacceptable.
My wife, her mom, and I came in to help her buy a car since she’s not familiar with the process. From the start, the experience felt off. Joseph never properly greeted us or introduced himself and honestly seemed annoyed that we were there.
We waited about 15–20 minutes while he helped other people, which is fine, but when he finally brought a car out, he didn’t explain anything about it. He just stood there, gave us a price when we asked, and then walked away, leaving the car running with no guidance at all.
When we told him we wanted to compare prices with other dealerships—which is just being smart with a big purchase—his attitude completely changed and led to the comment above.
After that interaction, we went to the front desk to get his name since he never introduced himself. When we asked for the General Manager, we were told there was no GM available at the location at the time, which was confusing. Instead, another manager came to speak with us.
While we were speaking with that manager, I noticed Joseph in the background laughing with another employee and looking right at us, which felt really disrespectful.
The manager did hear us out, but nothing was really addressed and no accountability was taken.
I will be escalating this beyond the dealership and contacting Kia corporate and other consumer protection organizations. This type of behavior should not be ignored.
At the end of the day, buying a car is a major financial decision, and customers deserve basic respect. This experience fell far below that.
