Brett Mannon could not have been more helpful and spot-on. My wife wanted to replace her banged up Ford Edge with another new Edge. My problem was the car was too big for her, and she kept running into immovable objects. This created a difficult situation. I had seen a Chevy Traxx and thought that would be perfect for her. I talked her into at least looking at the car first and then we could go to the Ford dealer later if she wanted. When we visited the Chevy dealer, she thought the Traxx was too small. Brett walked us through larger options. She didn't want black or white. Going through the sales process, I test drove one larger option, and my wife liked it. As a result, she couldn't be happier now driving around in her 2026 black Trail Blazer. She loves the smaller size and the car's drivability. I couldn't be happier, too, knowing she is less likely to run into things. And, although I'm driving an RX-8 now, which followed after my RX-7, I grew up a Chevy man ('57 Chevy convertible and '62 Chevy Impala). Thanks Brett, for a job very well done. Excellent service, friendly and fast!! Boy has my view changed! Be very wary of purchasing a used car here! I purchased a 2018 GmC Canyon October 29 2024. They were all so great! Got a full 90 day warranty on all components including AC. After 10 days heater would not work. So I am thinking I have the warranty so I take it in. $2700 dollar repair that the “full warranty” refuses to cover. Fast toward to 3-4 days after the warranty runs out, truck won’t start. Turns out the AC compressor, evaporator, and condenser are bad, oh and also the starter! $3800 in repairs! Truck only has 59000 miles. DON’T BUY A USED VEHICLE HERE! Their warranty is not a true full warranty.

Had an appointment for 07:30 today and took my vehicle in to have them repair a wheel stud, check/inspect breaks, and fix a VVT Camshaft solenoid sensor (extremely common problem with Colorado pickup trucks btw). None of the above, would I personally consider time consuming or extremely problematic. I was also introduced to their foreman and I had a very good conversation with him - speaking of how times had changed and how you couldn't really count on things anymore. I honestly (though in retrospect I now feel very gullible) felt I was in really capable hands so I returned home. Having received no word, I decided to call at 3pm. To my shock, they hadn't even seen the truck yet and I guess assumed it was okay to keep it indefinitely without notice or my approval. There was never any suggestion given that it would be kept for an indefinite duration of time whatsoever. After all, I had a locked-in appointment scheduled an again the issues could be resolved quite easily. I see that after all these years my complacency with Powers-Swain got the better of me. Today reminds me of 2 incidents 35 years prior in which my 1989 Z24 was brought in and it took them a week to diagnose and fix a catalytic converter??? And also another incident in which I had locked my keys in same car 7 miles down the road and they would not assist me. I ended up walking 14 miles grand total in 90+ degree heat because they would not give me a ride back. Later the next day, I reviewed my paperwork (as suspected) to find I had purchased a "roadside" policy which would not only cover costs of (locked keys, battery, flat tires, etc.) but required them to assist me if within x-amount of range of the dealership. Livid, I contacted owner Kyle Powers (owner) to voice my concerns that very next day. To my shock, he "was not familiar" with this policy whatsoever though his very salesmen were selling them. So I see after 35 years time this dealership has not improved regarding customer service whatsoever! I will not ever go back and I suggest the following: Always write down your mileage upon entering service of your vehicle wherever that may be. When my 1989 Z24 entered service (for catalytic converter replacement noted prior) it had almost a full tank. However when I finally received it 5 days later it was almost on empty. *I was told, "Well, sometimes the mechanics will go out for lunch". Also read your paperwork, especially in a military town. With our great servicemen coming and going (here today gone tomorrow), a lot of businesses have gotten used to taking advantage of them. Be certain to get everything in writing and likewise read everything! Don't be made a fool like I was! at Powers-Swain!

Where do I even begin? If it was possible, I’d give a negative started review. This company is so unprofessional and an absolute nightmare to deal with. I chose Palmetto as the place to take my vehicle after someone had side swiped my car, and this was a top rated place their insurance company offered to cover my claim. After going to Palmetto for my initial estimate appraisal on 4/12, I was told it would take approximately two weeks for all parts to arrive. I gave the shop plenty of time to get the parts in before calling in for a check up. I did not hear from the shop, the ENTIRE month of May, so I called first week of June. The tech who answered said they had received all my parts and they had been there for a bit and they were waiting for me to come in. How am I supposed to make an appointment when I haven’t been told my parts have arrived? When I asked why I hadn’t been contacted, no one could give me an answer. I finally got my appointment set for 6/22, when dropping off my vehicle, I was told it would be a week, week and a half TOPS. So I let that time pass, to again no contact. I reach out after a week and a half and am told that they are still not complete and they could not give me any answer as to when the work would be completed. The women who I had spoken to, said she would get information and call me back. To no surprise, I never heard back yet again. Finally I am told my car will be complete 7/13, the day comes and goes, to still hear nothing. So I call for yet another update, and I am told that the crew is waiting on a part to come in for them to be able to complete the work. Yet I was told all the parts were there back in June…? To make things even better, the following day, I am called at 4:53 to be told my car was FINALLY completed. Now keep in mind, the shop closes at 5! I asked if someone would be there late for me to pick up my car, I am then told by the “shop manager” that he is off at 5, and has other obligations to take care of, but if I give him time to call and make arrangements he could stay for a little bit over for me to get there. But of course I am called at 5pm, with bad weather, and heavy traffic I would have to fight just to get there and it would be easily half an hour or more, the guy definitely makes it known that it is quite the inconvenience for him. So I told him to not worry about it, and that I would get it in the morning. THE. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. Save yourself the time, money, and headache of dealing with this unprofessional, disrespectful, and arrogant staff.
