Recently had my car serviced. Michael Davis was our service advisor and was professional and extremely helpful and communicative. Volvo took care of all of my concerns, helped arrange transportation for me, and was very thorough.

I have been going to Prestige Volvo of Bergenfield NJ for several years and from start to finish I always have nothing but a great experience! Claus was great! He was very professional and courteous and kept me updated throughout the day. The rest of the staff were also terrific!

Easily the worst experience anyone can have with a car dealership. First, they sold me a new car which ended up being a lemon as it was defective and unsafe to drive due to a gas leak. The gas leak stunk up my entire house after being parked in the garage for just 12 hours. My kids couldn’t sleep in the house. I called the salesperson repeatedly over several days but he did not answer or return calls. He finally responded and told me I could come within an hour and they’d inspect the car. They also told me I wouldn’t have a loaner for over a month. Once they acknowledged the car was defective, they finally gave me a loaner. However they refused to take the lemon back permanently and said this is my car which they will try to fix. They also wouldn’t offer any discount They claimed they fixed the car, but I told them I did not feel safe taking the car back, as there was a major defect, the gas odor was very strong, and I have two young kids. They didn’t care. They said this is my car and I have to return the loaner immediately or they will call the police on me. I told the manager I recently had a death in the family, I commute to the city five days a week, and will have to figure out how to get a new car. I asked for an extension but he again didn’t care, threatened again to call the police, and called me repeatedly (6x an hour) to schedule pickup of the loaner. I reminded them of the death in the family and that I was with family but they again did not care at all. I stepped away from my family to coordinate them picking up the loaner. They came to my house and picked up the loaner. They gave me no heads up that they’d be dropping off the lemon, even though I repeatedly told them I didn’t feel safe driving it. Then, instead of dropping the defective car off in my driveway, they parked it ON MY LAWN!! Please avoid this place at all costs. Horrible experience. I informed Volvo corporate, they agreed I shouldn’t take back the defective car, and did right by me when this dealership refused to.

On May 21, 2026 I brought my car in for service, received a loaner, the dealership put $250 on hold for the loaner, no biggie. I returned the car the following daya nd was told the money would be lifted in a couple of days. That was almost a month ago. I have been in contact with KARP, speaking to managers Mike Lindsay, Mike Ryan or Kelly and Ronnie who all 1. didn't believe, 2. hung up on me multiple times. 3. told me it's the 3rd party's fault, not KARP. Well, after tons of hours, going into the dealership and complaining that I still don't have my money , the BANK FINALLY TOLD ME KARP REFUSES TO RETURN MY MONEY UNTIL JUNE 20!!! A MONTH AFTER THE HOLD WAS PUT IN PLACE. The bank said" the MERCHANT, KARP, refuses to refund the money. Karp dealership refuses to fix the problem after my many requests, phonecalls and in person visits. They DO NOT CARE about the CUSTOMER. And they needed my $250 dollars more than I do apparently since they refuse to take the HOLD off of my funds!!!!!!!!

They charged me for it to diagnose my vehicle when I had the warranty I’m sure this is a consumer affair is issue
