New Car Purchase:
Purchased from this unique Carmax/Toyota dealership which offers Toyota incentives and financing. Worked out all of the particulars over a three day period with Tito, Sean and then Paul. A special thank you to Sean for his patience and energy.
Each of them offered the extended care plan, which I declined. Paul showed me the different finance options/scenarios so that I could determine the best deal. No one attempted to play any of the many shell games that dealerships use to just push money around and retain the same profit margin.
The business office was there to present paperwork for signing, and answer any questions. Huge relief that all of the "negotiating" was handled earlier. Received a packet containing the signed paperwork, and additional documentation for the insurance company. They thought of all the little things on this one.
Sale:
Offer came in $2,000 more than the offer provided months earlier. Pricing truly is market based - supply and demand.
Cons:
- Feel like used Carmax vehicles are $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 more than other dealerships.
- Wish there was a way to filter out all of the Fleet/Rental cars.
