As a Porsche enthusiast and former owner of two Porsche - Mauro469
As a Porsche enthusiast and former owner of two Porsche 911’s models. I recently encountered a troubling online experience with the purchase of a certified pre-owned Porsche GT3 from Porsche Seattle North from the outset, I was assured by the sales rep that the vehicle was in great condition and had never been tracked. However, my experience upon receiving the car tells a different story.
After a lengthy wait of 16 days since my purchase, I finally took delivery of the vehicle. Unfortunately, it quickly became evident that the car had indeed been tracked, despite the dealership’s claims. Here are the specific issues I discovered:
Tires: The vehicle was equipped with five-year-old track tires that were in a deteriorated state. This was surprising, especially for a car marketed as “certified” and in “great condition. I took the vehicle to two national tire companies both recommended that all tires should be replaced due to the condition.
Wheel Damage: Every wheel showed signs of significant damage. There was pitting on all spokes, and the front two wheels had multiple deep gouges that went complete around on their inner rims. Contacted local Porsche wheel repair shop was told both front wheels would not repairable due the the severe damage.
CV Axle Boot: I noticed that the CV axle boot was leaking. This could lead to further issues down the line if not addressed promptly, raising concerns about the vehicle’s maintenance history.
Taillights: Both taillights were delaminating, and moisture was present inside each light. This not only affects functionality but also future electrical problems.
Undercarriage Damage: The undercarriage was in poor condition, with multiple clips missing from both lower rocker trim panels. Additionally, the rear bumper’s lower trim was loose, cracked, and had tears in several areas, which points to significant wear from track use.
This experience has left me feeling misled and disappointed. The dealership’s assurances about the vehicle’s condition did not align with the reality of what I received. It’s unfortunate that a certified pre-owned Porsche came with so many undisclosed issues.
I reached out to the sale manager multiple times without any resolution.
I would highly recommend potential buyers to be cautious and conduct a thorough inspection of any vehicle before purchase, especially from Porsche Seattle North My trust has been significantly eroded, and I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience.
