Recently, we were returning from a long roadtrip and the oil light lit up in our Outback. We were still about 60 miles from home and were anxious about pushing through to the end to go to our local dealership the next day. We googled for the nearest dealer to our location, which happened to be Safford Brown in Manassas, VA. Upon pulling onto the lot, we were greeted by one of the sales reps who happened to be outside. He was very friendly and directed us to their service department. As soon as we walked into the service department, we were greeted by Mr. Shay Phillips. He listened attentively to our situation and problem, assured us he could help, carefully explained the steps their maintenance guys would execute to determine if we had a simple problem with just needing an oil change, or a more serious problem with a leak. As Shay had indicated would be the case, the maintenance team got to us very quickly. Within 45 minutes, we had good news that all we needed was an oil change. Shay was very professional and caring. Rather than worrying that we'd be taken advantage of (as two older women away from home), we felt we were in good hands with Shay and his team. This experience speaks wonders for Safford Brown and renews our commitment to Subaru as our car of choice. BTW, if you are traveling far, especially on some dusty roads, get an oil change before leaving home and bring an extra quart of oil with you!
