I took my 2017 Ford escape with 47K miles to Mac Haik's - brian

I took my 2017 Ford escape with 47K miles to Mac Haik's Southway Ford (that I bought from them) and paid $185 for a diagnostic because it was running rough. They read the codes and told me a needed a new engine that would cost $10k. I declined and they tried to sell me a new car. I took my car to a 3rd party shop and they fixed it by cleaning the fuel injectors. It has been running fine since. Mac Haik didn't even try to do a proper diagnoses of my car. They said that because they thought my car needed a new engine it would cost thousands of dollars for them to verify their suspicions by tearing it down and that I should just get a new engine or buy a new car and they would gladly put me in contact with a salesperson. Avoid Mac Haik at all costs, they are scammers and cheats and will try to wring you for every penny you have. Do not buy a car from them and do not trust them with your cars. Mac Haic is still calling me regularly trying to sell me a new car! SMH.

Hello this is David with TXDOT, I recently sent a 2015 ford explore to your dealership to have recall preformed I informed the service writer that the recall was for the rear sway bar end links. your service team failed to address the concern they performed some A pillar recall. This is not the first time we have had issues with your company. We have since started using Ken Stoepel Ford in Kerrville. It is also very difficult to speak with the service writer.

On 04/15/24, I took my 2020 Ford Eco Sport vehicle by tow - luanybastidas

On 04/15/24, I took my 2020 Ford Eco Sport vehicle by tow truck to the BIG STAR FORD Dealer. Rosemary Garza, the Service Advisor at Ford, received it and texted me that the engine and turbo need to be replaced for an approximate cost of $7,181.62. I reminded her that the vehicle had a recall and that they should cover those expenses. The vehicle was at the Dealer for 4 months and did not give me a Loaner Vehicle. On 06/12/24, I was informed that the recall was over and that they would cover the repair. On 08/14/24, I was informed that the vehicle was ready and that I could pick it up. On 08/18/24, I took the car on Sunday and left it at the Dealer which is closed. The vehicle did not accelerate and the dashboard lights came on. On 08/19/24, Mrs. Rosemary told me that the fault was the transmission and that they were going to check the vehicle. On 08/23/24, Mrs. Rosemary informed me that the technician checked the vehicle and said that the spark plugs (3) and coils needed to be changed for a cost of $834.98. I removed the vehicle because I considered it an excessive cost and that this was not the reason for the fault. On 08/26/24, I took the vehicle with the most serious fault again. I asked another technician to check the vehicle. The other technician informed me that the fault was due to the throttle control body or the accelerator sensor. I again removed the vehicle and took it to the Gulf Coast Dealer in Angleton. Where they determined that the fault was a pin adjustment in Pin 31 of connector 1232E, And the fault that the vehicle had completely disappeared. Mrs. Rosemary used offensive terms towards me such as "I don't know what you did to the car because it worked fine when it rolled out of here" The Mechanical Technicians of FOR BIG STAR could not find the real fault of the vehicle, suggesting changing parts that were not the real fault of the vehicle, implying an unnecessary outlay of money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BIG STAR FORD.

Do not have your vehicle serviced here. I bought a new truck and had power boards, bed cover and leveling kit installed. Was told a day that turned into 5 days with no updates unless I called about them. Talked to service manager Patrick and he said he would get to the bottom of it . After 30 minutes call my salesman that was off and home with sick kid and he got me information. Called Patrick back up and he hadn't even looked into it. Now truck is back in for a windshield replacement dropped off Thursday and said it would be ready by Saturday. Was called in Friday everything on track and good to go. Now Saturday before 9:00 am I get a phone call from Patrick that it will be Monday or Tuesday before it is ready. I am not sure what to think about the service department there and afraid what is going to happen if I have to e to take the truck in for any repairs or anything since the maintenance plan was bought through them. Stay far far away unless you want continuous issues and lies

Service is horrible. Had to take my truck in for two tires to be replaced. They put the 2 new tires on that took over two hours and then the new tires had no white letters out. Turned out the new tires had no white letters and the two remaining tires had white letters out. Had to go back another day and spent 2 1/2 hours and found out I was pushed aside for a worker to change out tires on his new purchased truck. it’s at least an hour more wait than what your told every time I’ve gone in for service. I had one service scheduled where they had to take my truck to another dealer. When I called to check on my appointment, the service had never been scheduled. No one calls you back. Leave messages and still no call backs. I keep thinking they will send me a satisfaction survey but haven’t seen one yet.

Bought 3 new cars from this dealership in Victoria Texas. This is one of 2 we purchased brand new in 2022. A month or so ago the cruise control went out. Made an appointment to get it repaired, because it was still under warranty. They had trouble taking the steering column apart, saying the air bag might not work. They claimed someone took the steering column apart and tampered with it. Now they are telling us they repaired the cruise control switch, but they found other issues (metal filings in the steering column? Paint marks on the steering column?) and that they will not warranty it because of suspected tampering. When we asked multiple times if it was safe to drive, they would not say it was. Now they are telling us we have to come and pick up the unsafe car and sign a paper stating they are not responsible for anything that happens going forward. When we asked if they were accusing us of tampering with it, the manager said no. We are the only owners. Welcome to Mac Haik customer service. (reviews are abysmal and they tend to not honor warranties regularly) They still have our car.

So much to mention about this poor customer service advisors. My vehicle has been in the shop for a week and no repairs have been done. This is the 5th time it being in the shop for the dame problem and they keep saying nothing is wrong. I have proof videos and images of what the issue is and they could care less about it. I had to come in there to pull a fight to get a rental and answers. Gm is no where to be found, director has not answered our emails and no one is a help. Warranty, and exte did warranty are a no help when all they want to do is pretend they looked at it and send you on your way. I do not recommend this dealership for any work to be done to your vehicle. I am still waiting for explanations.
