Courtesy Subaru quoted me $959 for my 30K warranty check - Will
Courtesy Subaru quoted me $959 for my 30K warranty check on a 2024 Outback XT that I purchased from Courtesy. I called twice, my wife called once, they would not quote the warranty check alone. I made an appointment with Schwab Subaru in Denver as I previously purchased an Outback from them. Schwab scheduled me to provide a no cost 30K warranty check and sign off. My wife called the Sales Manager at Courtesy who intervened and they performed the 30K warranty check with one of two free oil changes I had not yet used. I will never take the car to them for anything but warranty work and only if I am forced to. My wife and I are old and they tried to take advantage of us in my opinion and from my point of view. I am selling the Subaru and getting a Toyota, Menholt Toyota has been fantastic with my Tacoma and has never charged for any warranty inspection. There was no pre-service walk around at Courtesy, there was no post service explanation of what they may or may not have found. I am in Rapid City and Courtesy is the only Subaru dealer. Since I plan on living here another five years or so I am selling the Subaru. Treat me like a revenue unit once, shame on you. Treat me like a revenue unit twice, shame on me. Toyota has at least always treated me with respect and never tried to take advantage of me.
