I happily became a Subaru owner (2024 Ascent) this year as I’ve always wanted to be one. I’ve always held Subaru’s to a higher standard as a whole. The VA Subaru dealer I got my Subaru from was so outstanding. I came in with that same expectation to be depleted the moment I walked in.
Courtesy’s Service department only has two friendly people. I’ve gone in twice for service. first time for an oil change and first time customer here was just ok. Only one person even smiled or welcomed me.
The second visit was for a part replacement that went from a day to taking 3 weeks. Not their fault. Yes they were courteous and offered a 2025 Subaru Outback for me to drive while I waited. That rental looked like someone lived in it with dog hair all over, smooshed food crumbs all over the back seat. I was saddened how dirty it was for a 2025. Made me think, if this is how they treat this car, how are they treating my car?! I went and washed and vacuumed it right away as I was embarrassed to have anyone in it. I also filled the tank, washed and vacuumed it the day I brought it back.
I go in to retrieve my Assent, to find my car dirty outside and blue distinct markings on both my front seats. There car wash was broken…. The happy service member who helped me tried to scrub it off after I complained sadly. I have the white/cream seats. No luck. They are replacing both bottom seats with no charge, which is great, but the level of excellence and trust is very questionable.
