Family owned and staffed. Perhaps the only trustworthy car dealer left in the US. We first started using them for service 5 years ago after moving nearby and not knowing any trustworthy repair shops for our middle aged Fords. We were surprised by both the frankness, honestly, and respect for our money by the service office and service manager, the quality of the service & guys in the garage, and the fact we never felt violated after we saw and paid the bill. It’s not always perfect the first time but cars are complicated today so I cannot blame them 100%. There are a few seemingly simple repairs they don’t do, like alignments. But otherwise our cars go there first and only elsewhere if parts or a repair is not possible there. Because of their service department we’ve bought 2 used Fords from them. The most recent purchase a low mile used SUV, originally purchased and serviced there, so we know could keep using them for service and know and that we can have them do any remaining warranty work and post warranty work too. Their non-commissioned sales people are great - Low key, no pressure, very helpful. As a long-term customer negotiating a car price has always been a simple process and I cannot imagine for new customers it would be much of hassle. The only weakness is that since there are no per-car incentives, they may not suggest, or give you the gentle push necessary, to try something you may not have considered, that an overeager commissioned salespersons would. But I’d rather Stoner-Wade staff any day. Stoner-Wade is the way a dealership should be run, perhaps the way dealers used to be run in that vague yesterday when the world seemed a better place.

I’ve been visiting Halterman’s again, and I must say that it’s been a pleasure. Service has been pleasant and the work great as expected. Now, I met Eli Rivera today. He was wonderful. Very attentive and he looked out for my every need. I hope I get him as the service technician next time.

Had a intermittent electrical problem with my elec. windows and seat. I tried different garages, no results. Stopped in Sun Buick,just passing by. First time. Counter pearson very friendly. Service exceptionally fast. Mechanic very knowlegable.Found and fixed problem. Exceeded my expectations. I will return.

The worst BMW dealership I’ve have ever been to. A few months ago I had my rain gel sensor leaking on my M4. I called and made an appointment. When I took my car in I sensed a lot of confusion. I explained I had my windshield replaced a few months prior and that was probably the cause. One of the advisors came out to look at it and said keep wiping it and eventually it will stop and because it was extra glue dripping down. I took his word for it and it is still dripping down. His name was Adam. The second time I had to deal with them I got a nail in my tire and I have the roadside warranty for a year. I called to make an appointment and wasn’t in their system. That meant when I had the rain gel sensor problem they didn’t even put me in the system, so I didn’t have an appointment. That’s why the told me to just wipe it. They told me over the phone they could probably just patch it. I used to live in North Carolina and Florida and have gotten many flat tires in the past and every BMW dealership said NEVER to patch a track tire. He said bring it in and we will look at it and go from there. When arriving, Tim was very rude and right off that bat told me it would be $40 to patch the tire which is ridiculous. I explained I had the roadside warranty and wanted the tire to be replaced. He then came back to me a few minutes later and said he can’t get that tire because it is on back order. He stated he would look around and try to find one and give me a call on Monday, he never called. The same day I called another BMW dealership to see if I would get the same story. The other dealership said they could have it to their shop in 3-5 business days. Unfortunately other dealerships are pretty far away from me, so I had to take it to Sun. After this I will not be going back and will be contacting BMW for both horrible experiences.

My family has serviced several cars with Sun Mercedes of Mechanicsburg PA. They have been a very good service facility with a generous loaner program and a huge fleet of loaner cars. I have very rarely had to work around them not having a loaner available and the service has been almost perfect. We have also had them alert us to warranty work that we would not have known to have had done and in most cases of a problem, they have solved it quickly and without much grappling. In fact, I only have a few negative experiences, that all revolve around the service manager not wanting to cover damages to my car while in their care. (one being some obviously fresh gouges in my driver's seat that we guess was a tech sitting in the car with a screwdriver in his pocket. Service Manager refused to supply a replacement seat skin, even after his heat patch failed and the only way we resolved the issue was that I purchased a replacement skin and they installed it) The service waiting area is comfortable, and the service desks are well set up. On two occasions when I had left my car for service without getting a loaner, they had a service person drive it home to me and drop it off at my house. Steve has always let me know when there was something I could save money on, based on the work that we are doing, including when not to, and when it was a better time to change the timing belts so that it would cost less. This has only bothered me when I asked them to change all my glow plugs in my diesel and they said "well, only 2 needed replacement" I commissioned them to change them ALL and wanted them all replaced. I also asked them to clean out the system and the tech told me to just use a fuel system cleaner, and then because that didn't work out, my turbo was destroyed by coke building up in the exhaust and chunks being blown into the turbo. They did find a way to save me some money on the repair though. At the end of the day, it has been a good and lasting relationship. I want to say that no one is perfect, but character is how you handle the missteps and failures. I can say that we have no outstanding problems and I will put off service in order to work with them instead of the other options I might have in the many cities that my business takes me to.

I've had two Santa Fe's and the last one was bought new - Rubens

I've had two Santa Fe's and the last one was bought new in 2020 sel. It ran great until I reached 98000 and an oil consumption problem occurred. I was filling up 3-4 quarts every 1000 miles. As a result for 3 months the car has in and out of the dealership and the only thing that they did was clean the engine and send me off. The tech's even admitted that the Santa Fe's have had an engine problem - bad design. But Hyundai said that if you clean the engine all he problems are gone. The oil consumption did go up but it will be only temporary. Now the warranty has expired. I would not buy a hyundai ever again. They do not stand behind their product and Sunbury Motors all they did was send me to hyundai. They do like to sell but do not stand behind their cars. Very frustrated. If you are thinking of buying a car from Sunbury Motors...I wouldn't do it. This is the first negative review I've ever written and I feel bad...but I don't want people to get taken.
