Great Service Experience - review

I took my 2010 Chevy Traverse to Spencer Chevrolet for service last week, and was pleasantly surprised at how nice and helpful all of their employees were. They told me the service would take about an hour, so I stayed at the dealership and wandered around looking at their new cars. After about 45 minutes the Service Advisor called me to tell me my car was ready! I was surprised that I was actually on my way home within an hour of pulling in to the dealership. I will definitely return for Service again.

Dan Kennedy went above my expectations when talking with him about parts for one of my vehicles [my household owns 5 Fords currently . . . looking at #6 with Rita!]; During the discussion, we talked about one of my vehicle issues & he said it still had extended warranty & he would check the shop availability for me! Got me schedule within a few days & got me set up with pick up & delivery! It is ALWAYS awesome when you can talk to one department & they look out for YOU AS THE CUSTOMER! I am sure he could have just sold me parts & moved on, but took the time to listen, not something most people would have done.

I was traveling on route 22 when I had the tread come off the rear tire...It was loud and I was really shook up...Fortunately, I got off the exit right where the Star dealership is located!!! I had purchased these tires and didn't think to put the spare in the back of the truck!!!! Well I was and hour and half from home with no spare... And...since I have been out of work I only had $40.00 to my name until Tuesday!!! The men at Star couldn't be nicer!!! They loaned me a car to go home an pick up my spare tire!!! Not only that but Chris the mechanic had a used tire that he liked better than my worn tire and put it on for me for free..You guys were my angels that night...I really didn't know what I was going to do....I have been out of work for over a year with no income to speak of...I finally have a job interview this Tuesday and I think I have the job...I'll need a new car...You know I will be buying it from Max at Star!!!!! The level of caring, friendly customer service is something that I have never experienced before...You guys are aces!!! Thanks again...

Recently had my vehicle serviced. It was due for 50k miles service and state inspection. Mike checked me in; gave me a heads up of cost for the service and sent me on my way with a new loaner vehicle. After inspecting my vehicle, he advised I needed new tires. They were original to the car when purchased new and wouldn’t be safe to drive through the winter. He helped me find tires suitable for my needs and within my budget. My car drives and handles just like new! They’re always very honest with pricing and recommended services.

Transmission went in my vehicle. Stocker wanted to charge me excessive fees above and beyond my extended warranty. $500 fee for "handling the transmission when it got delivered", "credit card fee because warranty company was paying them by credit card", and additional fees for labor. all totaling in excess of $2300. Ultimately I had the vehicle towed back home to the chevy dealer i bought the car from. Stocker service staff were nice, but I simply could not accept all the extra billings. Had they simply honored my warranty (like my dealer) they would have got the job and made $$$ in the long run. Stocker- suggest you reconsider your policy on fees!
