We just left the dealership and if we could pick more than 5 stars we would give a 10. We came to Oregon for the gold certified Toyota Tacoma Sport 4WD TRD from Oakland CA. From the 1st phone call to the last signature the service was exceptional. Danielle Andrade, Diego Nilsen, Ted Mikels and Zach Graeber made the truck buying experience well worth the trip to Oregon. The communication was fantastic, there were no surprises. If you are looking for a Toyota we highly recommend Grants Pass Dealership and Diego Nilsen in the Sales Dept, even if you live in CA, you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I have now purchased three vehicles from Ron Tonkin Toyota. We've been fortunate enough to have Ali Rahima, one of Tonkin's sales consultants, each time. Ali listens, is not pushy, and has done his utmost to find the "perfect" vehicle for our needs. In 2915, when we decided to take a trip across the country and back we decided it was necessary to find a newer car with lower mileage (we had an older Sienna to trade in). Ali came through with a 2014 Sienna which has been a joy to drive. Reluctantly, we've decided to say good-bye to the Sienna to purchase a slightly smaller car. Ali came through again and we're now the proud owners of a 2019 RAV-4. We are very appreciative of the staff at Ron Tonkin (all those that we've met) and Jack Lord in the the service department. We are happy to recommend Ron Tonkin (and Ali especially) to anyone who needs to purchase a car (whether used or new). Horrible experience and I never even got to test drive a vehicle. I called on my way to the dealership and was told the vehicle I wanted to see was available and would be pulled aside for me. Arrived and got aired five minutes for a salesperson to even come talk to us. He didn’t even have the vehicle details so I had to give them to him. Then he had to go see if it was available. If it was pulled aside for me why would you even need to look??? He comes back 10 minutes later to let me know it was on a test drive with another customer. Unacceptable. I won’t set foot on their lot again. Don’t tell someone the vehicle is being reserved for them and turn around and sell it to another customer. Dishonest, especially when there’s so many dealerships to choose from out there.

Huge rave to Rick VerSteeg at Clint Newell Auto Group. He helped me through a spontaneous and impulsive car buying experience lol. So I went there with no intention of buying a new car, was going to look at a cute ford escape on the lot, only to find out it’s being worked on before being released to customers, so I said okay lemme take a look at the edge, I was intrigued. I was like, you know what Rick, you’ve done right by me and my family at a previous place of business, let’s sign… then I saw a Chevy as we’re going thru the paperwork, I was like, HOLD UP, what’s thaaaaat?! (Yes like a toddler). I saw it, I wanted it, I got it lol. Rick wasn’t a pressure salesmen and you’d experience at another competitor in town. He was patient, kind, careful, ensured I got what I wanted, made sure my budget was my budget, and most of all, he didn’t get salty or pushed back when I said “I’m just looking” which most salesmen would’ve backed off and said ADIOS. I come from a long history of sales and high pressure sales, this wasn’t a salesmen. He was a genuine guy trying to help me as if I was family. Huge kudos to Rick and Clint Newell. As I told you Rick, you have my families business for life. Thank you.

Very helpful salesman. Not pressuring, informative and searched out info when he didn't know it. Helped negotiate a trade in on a new Rav 4 Hybrid. The finance person, however, was insensitive to my time-frame late in the day and tried to "wear me down" to accept extra warranties with inadequate l o n g explanations, despite knowing I/we had a long way to drive home in sketchy rainy condititions. Took at least an hour and a half longer than it should have to get things finalized. Nearly walked out without signing the agreement. It also seemed the dealership wasn't always up to snuff with what was going on in other departments - such as a full tank of gas when I drove off in the new vehicle, but the salesman has tried to make things right.

Service Center is excellent, friendly and do a great job. The sales staff on the other hand are terrible. Went to trade up a vehicle 4 months after we purchased and they offered us 14,000 for the car we bought from them only 4 months earlier for 22,000. Car was still in identical shape as when purchased and we were buying a 55,000 Highlander. Walked out on the "deal" and will never buy from them again.

When the battery failed in my Sienna I went to J & P's for a replacment. Not only did I get charged full price(expected) but I was charged $20 for installation. They did get my $20, but they will now never get any more of my business.
