We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We found the vehicle we were interested in. The sales rep got the keys, pulled it out and got us ready for a test drive. The truck looked great, we noticed a vibration on one wheel (no big issue) and we decided we were going to buy it. I went to back the truck in the spot and it almost died. I repeated the issue 3 more times. I told the sales rep about the issue and he suggested I buy it and get it fixed under the warranty. I decided not to buy a truck that was stalling in reverse.

I purchased a 1964 corvette convertible for $48,600, plus $800 shipping and $4,073 ny sales tax and was assured of no issues. I received a car that look nice but was junk mechanically. I have spent nearly $2500 in repairs so far and have not been able to drive car yet. Proteam is dishonest and lied to me about condition. BEWARE with this company. Their word means nothing!

Purchased what appeared to be a safe and reliable Jeep..the rust on the body mounts were rusted completely through, then filled in with a foam like substance then over coated with paint so not detectable.. Paid $11,000.00 cash..vehicle body has collapsed to wheels.. They refuse to assist us in this matter, even though we dealt with them for 3 weeks after sale date.Jeep is unsafe for road, sure to cause serious injury or death to us or other drivers..disgraceful!!!!!!!! Company should be closed to real people......

My husband had been in contact with the owner about buying a Chevy Malibu Maxx and he told us that we should come up to take a look at the car. After over an hour drive on a Wednesday, when we got there we were told that the car was sold(even though my husband had talked to him the night before). We were disappointed but the sales manager Brian Maiden told us that he could have us one on Friday afternoon. We gave them a $1000 down payment and received a promise that he would call us when it arrived. Friday night my husband called to get an update and this is when the problems again. We were promised that it would be there late Friday night and he would call us in the morning after it was inspected. By two on Saturday we still hadn't received any news/calls from them. We had to call SIX times before we got any response(secretary told us he was on phone everytime we called over a five hour period). Brian swore the car would be there Saturday night and he would even meet us Sunday morning to pick up the car. Sunday comes-no call. No answer on any of the numbers "he can always be reached on". Monday comes around, still no call. My husband had to miss a work trip on Monday because he thought the car was going to be there and he needed to sign all the paperwork. After I finally got Brian on the phone, he told me it would absolutely be there and ready Tuesday morning and to come in at 10 AM. I had a bad feeling so I called before we left Tuesday to make sure everything was good to go. Car STILL wasn't there. Only after I told him that I wanted my money back did he tell me that he had no idea where the car was or when it would get there. I left a message for the owner and he called back saying that he would be at the dealership when we got there. As soon as we pulled in, Brian came running out with a refund check, said "Sorry" and walked away. I don't think he wanted us to come in and tell the owner how poorly he treated us. Our previous car was stolen, so we were paying for a rental out of pocket. They did offer a loaner car but why would we make a 2 1/2 hour drive if our car was supposed to be there the next day? I want the cost of my car rental for the day that they strung as along, Friday-Tuesday. Overall, we were promised the car would be there six times and made over 15 phone calls to them. They didn't call us one time. We gave them $1000 then Brian can't even call and keep us updated? VERY poor service. Other names for same dealership: Sim's Car Mall, CashforCarsStore.com, Revolutionary Car Credit, Andy Chevrolet.

And Travis Smiley himself is something else! So disrespectful to women! He doesn’t even know the names of some of his best former employees. No wonder his employee turnover rate is so high. Everyone who knows me in the community knows I’m not a complainer and I’ve never left a scathing review like this, but I feel like the community needs to know. These people are pure sleaze. Sure the buy here pay here business is sleazy, but these people are at the bottom of the barrel sleazy and criminal. I bought a car, had to pick it up the next day. When I got the car, the Check Engine light was on. Mind you, this is before it even got off the lot. I called to complain later because there was no one there when I picked up the car. I was told that it was my fault because the check engine light wasn't on when I paid for it. Within a week of buying the car, the starter went out. I called them and the owner, Sommer said "It wasn't that way when you bought it." How do you damage a starter within a week of buying it?!? Basically what they do is buy cheap cars rig them up and sell them to people who desperately need something to get around. I had nothing but problems with this car and put a lot of money for repairs, and finally called them to take the car back because the bottom was literally rusting out. The mechanic said that it was as bad as he had ever seen. These people are criminals who will lie, cheat and steal to sell you a dangerous, non-working car. Also, there is no way to make payments except to call, it cannot be done online or set up automatic payments. You have to call and of course, they charge $5 each time for the "privilege" of using a card. On top of which, Sommer the owner and her husband are very rude and talk down to their customers once they hook you in. These people are criminals, liars and thieves. Do not buy a car there unless you want to get ripped off!

If I could give St Clair Auto Sales a zero rating, I would. John Ash, the Internet Sales Manager, will waste your time by describing his vehicles as being in much better condition than they actually are. He described a heavily smoked in/fair condition car as being smoke-free/excellent condition. I had to make a 70 mile round trip journey to find out he was dishonest. I offered a $100 deposit to hold the smoke-free/excellent condition car he described over the phone. A few hours later I learned he wasted my time by fabricating the condition on a vehicle that I later learned had been bought at auction and had sat on his lot for over 1 1/2 years! Furthermore, he felt he deserved to keep the $100 deposit I had offered with good intent! I had to file a dispute with my bank to have the $100 deposit. John Ash couldn t supply my bank with paperwork showing he was entitled to keep my deposit...and that s because it was a good will gesture on my part. When I offered to make a deposit to hold the car he had described to me over the phone he could have been honest and said it had been on his lot for quite a while and the likelihood that it not being there when I arrived that evening was slim to none!

They gave me a great price and even fixed something on the new van 3 weeks after the sale for that was my fault it got broken. I'm really frustrated with the car they sold me. It's been in the shop 5 times since Oct 2020 (when I purchased it). Over $1500 and looking at another $700+ for an ac compressor. Seems like everything that can fail pretty much has including but not limited to: MAF sensor, Idle Air Control Valve, fuel injectors, coolant system leaks, ac compressor, coil packs, oxygen sensor, rear wheel sensor, spark plugs, passenger seat belt sensor has never worked properly. They assured me they had inspected the car and it was in great shape. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you buy from them learn from mistake and get the car independently inspected.

OMG. What a terrible experience. I tried to buy a used 2017 Cadillac ATS there after finding it online. I made an appointment on Thursday to see it and drive it on Monday morning at 9:15 AM. On Saturday, I get a reminder of of our meeting on Monday at 1:15 PM. I quickly remind them that the scheduled time is 9:15AM. I get there and the salesman is 10 minutes late. He goes to get the car out of the lot and says sorry it took so long, I had to put some air in the tires. I drive the car and it vibrates at 65MPH. I drive back and look it over and it is absolutely filthy. Especially under the hood. I tell him during negotiations that it needs new tires, at minimum, balanced and check for perhaps a bent rim. That the car needs a complete detail including wash, wax, interior, trunk and engine compartment. After hearing this sales person break promise after promise, telling me lie after lie, giving me the old standard used car salesman lines like, "better hurry, someone else is on the way" and finally ghosting me, I gave up and bought elsewhere. The absolute worst salesperson I've ever had the dis-pleasure of trying to deal with. I don't know if it was just him or the entire company culture, but I'll certainly never be back and I would encourage anyone else to turn and run. What a xxxx show. I'm giving 1 star because I don't have to option of giving no stars on this review board.
