Let me preface this with the salesperson I spoke to came - froze93309
Let me preface this with the salesperson I spoke to came across as a very nice man. What happened was I went for a test ride in a Nissan 350z he had on the lot, I got about 2 minutes into the test drive and the car went into limp mode, and all sorts of lights came on the dash, so I crawled the car back to the lot, told him what happened, ok, he would check it out. I got a call no more than 3 minutes after I left the lot and he's trying to tell me he cleared the codes and the car was running fine...except I know that clearing the codes does not fix the problem that caused it to go into limp mode, all that does is temporarily fix it only to recur later.
I hate to give that place a one-star rating, because the guy was nice about the whole thing, but nice only goes so far, you have to be real and honest with your customers if you want to have repeat business down the road, or referrals. With selling cars in today's world making sure that a car is actually repaired correctly, and they are standing behind their customers is huge if you want to rise above the competition. Car dealers are already fighting an uphill battle with the public perception that all car dealers are rip-off artists, you have to separate yourself from that mentality the public has and prove you are different by being way better than the others.
