I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the great experience I had buying a Jaguar from Cosmos Motors. I had been searching for a very specific 2015 Jaguar F-Type SV8 for a few months when I found what I was looking for on the Cosmos Motors website. All the information posted on the website provided me with the necessary details to convince me to send an inquiry. I sent a message that evening stating my interest and was contacted the next day by a sales representative, Matt Glover. Matt was professional, knowledgeable, and understanding of my hesitancy. Most importantly, he was incredibly responsive to my endless barrage of calls/texts/questions – this was crucial to my decision to buy a car located 6 hours away from my home. Matt sent additional videos and closeups of the car. I cannot exaggerate what an amazing job their detail shop did preparing the car for sale. A 2015 black Jaguar is supposed to have a few swirl marks, minor scratches, and a chip here and there – it did not! In fact, after seeing the pics I asked Matt about the cost of ceramic coating. He introduced me to the detail shop manager, Jacob Bishop.
Jacob took the time to explain how and what they used to detail the F-Type. I asked him about applying a protective film to vulnerable places on the car in conjunction with the ceramic coating. He recommended the areas to protect, explained why, and made me an offer on the price - to which I instantly agreed! I previously owned a black 2014 F-Type S V6 that had minor chips and swirls in the same areas Jacob described – he obviously knows his cars. Additionally, the previous quotes I received from shops in Northern Virginia for those same services on my 2014 Jag were significantly higher.
The deal was made and all I needed to do was get to Cosmos to drive the car home. Matt arranged for a driver to pick me up at Charlotte Airport (about an hour from Cosmos). That sounds easy but our plane had to return to Dulles Airport 20 minutes away from landing in Charlotte and after three hours of delays, we were back in the sky. Matt and the Cosmos driver, Paul, were understanding, patient, and unshaken. Paul and I chatted all the way to the dealership, he was pleasant company and had some great stories. When I arrived at Cosmos, the car was ready and impressive as described. Matt and Jacob walked me around the car, describing what had been detailed, and we took it for a drive (yes, I am still smiling). The general manager, Chance Parsons, finalized the sale effortlessly and with the same laid-back friendly attitude. This was the theme from cradle to grave throughout this entire experience.
Okay, I have to admit only one thing was disappointing. My drive home was about 375 miles, and they did not fill the car with gas. I should have asked, but it didn’t occur to me until I pulled out of the lot. Not necessary or even expected, but that would have been a nice touch.
This is the longest review I have ever written (positive or negative). My dad sold cars for over 20 years, and I know most of the tricks and tactics they use to not only make the initial sale but too also push expensive add-ons and hidden fees. I cannot express how impressed I was with Matt, Jacob, Chance, Paul, and my overall experience purchasing a car from Cosmos Motors. Their entire team was incredibly helpful, courteous, and professional throughout the entire process. I would certainly recommend Cosmos Motors to my friends and would buy another car from them with total confidence and comfort. I will follow up with a 90-day review or as needed.
