I went to Abernethy for extended warranty repairs on my Jeep. Robert in service was outstanding! Promptly found the problem and repaired. During my wait, I found a new Dodge Journey and ended up leaving in it! Mike Lovelace was great to work with. No pressure and so accommodating. Mike Long went to work and put together an offer that made us both happy! Richard Kolbe in finance closed my deal and was also great to work with. They have earned my business going forward and I hope anyone reading this will at least stop by and give them an opportunity to earn yours! I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

Excellent service and super good techs. They took care of our Jeeps for 6 years and some. Unfortunately, due to the Economic Times, they closed down the business at the end of April 2025. I have personally confirmed this by talking to the owner Tommy Buchanan. The family started this business in the 1950's as a Chrysler dealership. Such a very sad loss for the local business environment and the town.

I own a Chysler crossfire that was serviced for a key ignition switch. My car was towed to the location. The ignition wouldn’t turn nor start. The vehicle window was down and rain poured in for weeks at a time. I decided to check on my crossfire window was never closed. I mentioned the window was down when the appointment was made. The service manager was not aware the car was on the lot in the back. When I shared my concerns, he said he would shampoo correct it. Cleaning the seats and floor from the mildew that now in my car. At the time, I’ve taken pictures of my car, that has always been garaged. I waited patiently for the part to arrive. I received a call car was ready. When I got there and paid over 1k for repairs, my car had a flat tire, it had to be jumped and now there was a check engine light on. Prior to getting in my car I ask if the car had been done with the points check. I was told it was, how was that possible with a check engine light on. In any case, again they reassured me after speaking with Service Manager Dave Hamilton he again agreed they would fix the problem. He mentioned be new on the job, and I mentioned their customer service was terrible. Afterwards, I drove off with my vehicle, just to find out it would not change into 2nd gear. I immediately took my car back to them and left for repairs to get it right. The car has been with them since April 2022. I’m now having my car towed away because they can’t fixed the problem. They don’t have the equipment to fix it nor can they set the code. Remember my car was full of water in the floor when I check on it. Dave did mention the Wire hardness had rusted and the were hoping it would dry and they could repair the transmission control module. I’ve now taking my car away to find out that the water that set in my car for However long could possibly caused the damage. Yes, I spoke briefly with General Manager, he apologized and said he would look into it and get back with me. NO WORDS FROM HIM. I’ve lived all over the US, I owe 5 vehicles and never ever have I experienced such terrible incompetent car service.

EDITED: I was in Saturday to have an oil change with your service department. I had a coupon for 2 full synthetic changes for $120 I believe, and at first the acting service manager said it wouldn't apply because it takes semi synthetic oil. I brought up that my car takes fully synthetic oil, or that is what I preferred. She couldn't get the coupon to work. I looked up the oil part number from the invoice on the mopar site, and it said it was not compatible with my vehicle as it is not fully synthetic. I called and spoke to the acting service manager, as well as the parts manager. They were both very courteous. They said it was fully synthetic that was put in, but nothing that is in the documentation reflects this, or being told my car doesn't take fully synthetic initially when I know that it does. I just don't want this to cause any potential issues, and I wanted fully synthetic oil. I have kept the part number and screenshot from the mopar site, as well as the invoice with the same part number from the service department for my records that both say it's not compatible with my vehicle. Any response would be greatly appreciated, before this becomes a potential major issue. Emailed these to the service manager and haven't heard back yet. Tried to contact Mike, but was told he just left. Oil all over the hood as well. EDIT: the phone call did little to rectify the situation. Sent a pic of a box with the oil that was supposed to be used, and another of a backside of SOME box with the right part but couldn't explain the wrong part number on the invoice, at all. Andy seems to be a great service manager though. If you're ever in this situation of the right oil being in your car, there is a company called Blackstone Labs that will test it. I'm doing it now, and if it is not fully synthetic which I asked for. Man o man, This will turn into something. Couldn't use the coupon either, and no additional offers, or promotions we given after this unprofessional mishap. Might contact the FTC, and NCDOT which deals with these situations, as well as dealer fraud. Also, I was treated very passive aggressively when I went there to purchase a new vehicle, which I bought elsewhere. There are way more competitive dealerships, who treated you like they want your business. Basically none negotiable, but with the bloated inventory of 23 models, and the hornets which are rebranding Alfa Romeo no one wants, as well as the ev's prices are dropping everywhere.
