Beware of their service department!!
I have taken my wife’s 2012 Honda Odyssey to Pecheles Honda for all our service needs for the past 3+ years. In the past month they have completely lost my trust and my future business.
A few weeks ago we brought our van in for a routine oil change and went ahead with the recommended rear brake pad change. Immediately upon leaving Honda I realized the brakes felt soft and required more effort to apply the brakes then they had before. Also on my drive home, I went to use the windshield washer fluid while driving and it sprayed momentarily and then stopped due to it being empty!
Once I was home I popped the hood to investigate why the fluid stopped. Not only was the windshield washer fluid EMPTY, the coolant reservoir was empty as well as the radiator itself!
Multi point inspection and fluid top offs are annotated as being done at every routine maintenance visit. This is not being done at Pecheles Honda!
It does not end there though, the car was taken back and fluid were topped off and brakes were bled. The very next week the car was returned to Pecheles Honda department for the a/c blowing warm and a front axle seal being recommended to replace by the service tech at the previous visit.
Pecheles immediately serviced the AC as a shotgun troubleshooting technique which cost $140 and did not fix the problem! When I picked up the car I found the ac still blowing hot. I immediately asked that the service manager come sit in the vehicle with me to see for himself. After 10 minutes of the service manager trying to Justify the ac as being OK... he finally concurred with me that it was not right or fixed.
I received no update on the vehicle that day or the next. The third day I call them for an update and I am told that it was fixed the day before and they were keeping it for testing purposes. An hour after I made the call I receive a call from the service manager at Pecheles. He assured me the car is fixed and that he has made everything right by not charging me for the fix they most recently did.
I questioned him as too why I wasn’t receiving a refund for the Ac refrigerant service that was done and didn’t fix anything. He reluctantly refunded this service.
The service he was so eager TO cover was a $26 AC Clutch relay.
To end this incredibly messed up month of service with Pecheles the AC is STILL NOT FIXED!!!
The car will now be driven further to another Honda service department so we regain our trust in how our vehicle is being maintained.
Short version: beware of Pecheles service department. There technicians constantly miss steps as simple as not topping of fluids at your routine maintenance visits and the service associates, service manager, and OWNER are money hungry liars that would have easily scammed my wife out of a serviceable reliable car by not maintaining it properly and taken every dime she had if I were to have been deployed during this time period.
Shame on Pecheles Honda for treating loyal customers this poorly. A change needs to be made in this service department.
