Run, don’t walk- in the opposite direction. Spent a couple days contacting every dealer in the tristate looking for my new vehicle. This John Starks dealer had the one I was looking for and wanted to make the deal. I told him some offers I had heard at the local places by me and the sales guy Colin had to speak to his manager. He texted me that he got the deal done. To make the price where I was comfortable, the interest needed to be 6%. I put a deposit down and filled out the credit application. They ran my credit, confirmed it was excellent then ghosted me for a day. After reaching back out to them they told me the lowest rate is 8%. This significantly increases the monthly payment. The sales guy Colin and his GM knew this at the time but said what they could to keep me happy and keep me from going to another dealer. The GM just called me to say there was no way 6% was ever going to happen. They hit my credit for no reason at all. It takes 2 years to fall off your report. This dealer is the exact reason why all car salesmen have the reputation they do. I’m sure the manager or someone will reply to this review and make up some story about how I am at fault, but I urge you to look elsewhere.

STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!! CROOKED! LIES!! In our search for a good used car for my son we came across this absolute loser.... Very shady. Would not answer our questions. When we started to ask questions he dismissed us and told us to get off his lot. He said we were not buyers and that we were there to "bust his chops" when I pointed out that the information he was giving me did not match the information on Carfax this guy got very defensive. It became very clear that this guy was lying to us. He did not like the fact that they we were asking questions. That struck me as very odd. I mean seriously, who buys a car without asking questions? After looking closely at this guys cars I realized that they were nothing but junk. I have never come across such a shady character like this in my life! This guy just screamed "Hi I'm a crook and I'm going to lie to you just to get your money" He told me that he did not think that I was a buyer, after the 5 minutes we were on the "lot". I didn't have the heart to tell him that I had several thousand dollars in cash in my wallet LOL! Mistake buddy huge huge huge mistake! Thank God we got off that "lot" and bought a car down the road in Hamburg, which was better and from a better dealership.

Was looking for a first car for my Son and found an 05 Corolla S here through Cars.com.After searching for almost a month all over long Island we ended up here..Only a mile or so from home. Sales/Owner Andy helped us in a professional, laid back and helpful manner. No cheap salesman talk here..Just facts and answers to all our questions. No sales pressure whatsoever..There internet price was very fair and less than the Kelley Blue Book retail price.. Most importantly their price was the same whether cash or financing.. Most of the other dealers we visited would shoot out a low-ball internet price but then require 80 to 90% financing thru them at a very high interest rate. When I showed up to a couple of these places and wanted to pay cash ,the car was mysteriously sold or unavailable !! NONE OF THAT NONSENSE AT L.A. SALES !! You will get a good car here at a fair price .Also they stand behind their cars with an included 3 month warrantee.. Also they wont hit you up with ,bogus dealer fees here ! Just a minimal title fee and dealer prep fee, which includes a full tank of gas..SO WHETHER YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A $40,000 SHELBY GT500 OR A $4000 STATION CAR, CHECK OUT LEMON AUTO SALES, IN HICKVILLE !!

Service after the sale is the best had an issue with the AC he was able to get it in and repaired in the same day . Like I said I was impressed with Marks Auto sales. I was pleasantly surprised at my experience at the Meredith Motors in Troy. Dave took the time to answer all my questions. Never pushy easy to work with. I didn't buy my car the first day. I wanted to think about it. It took me a few days to make up my mind and not once did Dave call to bother me about the purchase or try to get me to come back in. I called him we worked out a fair price and he did all the paper work and DMV stuff. I'll give them another shot when I need another vehicle!

Very reasonable pricing... All in all a fair deal. I felt that level of customer service was completely adequate. The vehicle that I purchased seemed to be very well prepared. There was no need to haggle over the trade in value... although I would have wished for a bit more for my vehicle, they did offer me what the vehicle brings on the wholesale market...however, they did move more than I expected on the car that I was interested in, so it all evened out in the end.

Sketchy with a side of bait and switch is what this was. Was interested in a F150 for the internet advertised price of 23,995. We even negotiated to 23,518. Did everything on my end including bank approval with VIN#. Ran car fax which came back with 2 owners, when they said there was 1. Credit card given for deposit to hold for a few days, as we had to travel to get it. Proof of Internet price and messages of negotiated price saved in our records. Days go by, the day we're on our way, they changed their mind. Price increased by $1,000. "Their mistake" was the only explanation given. Apologizing perfusely. We go there as planned thinking they would hear us out, and the owner and the truck weren't there....even though he was expecting us. Tried calling his cellphone to no avail. Another employee pulls in and informs us of an address where he and the truck might be (a furniture store that he also owns) we arrive there, we were not addressed right away and could hear him and other employees laughing about someone they know getting a bunch of DWI's with lots of vulgar language with customers present. My husband and I were disgusted with the inappropriate behavior as they continued to talk vulgarly as we glanced at the furniture waiting to be noticed. Finally we were approached and we told them who we were and why we were there. The owner asked us to come outside to look at the truck. Walking to the truck, I mentioned how they made a mistake and how we're taking it for the price we negotiated and the owner then says never mind, he's not selling us the truck, and retreats inside. My husband asks if he can look at the truck and he says no, he has no time for us after I said that. I take a minute to myself and go back inside to ask if he's serious and if he is, I'll be contacting the attorney general and better business bureau and he informs me to go ahead and I should leave. He has others interested in the truck. The truth comes out! Other people interested = raising the price. To top it off, the person he was speaking with when we got there informs me he is his attorney and the owner simply made a mistake. We said "that's not how you run a business, you should make right on your word". His attorney nodded as if he agreed then Said "it is bad business, but it's our business". We felt unwelcomed, and quite baffled by the unprofessionalism by everyone who was there. We will never return and intend to spread the word warning others.
