On Friday 10/5, I took my 2015 Altima 3.5 SL to the service center for a simple oil change and tire rotation with the standard multi-point inspection. My experience was bad as soon as I walked in the door and got worse as my time there continued. I had a coupon for the 39.99 oil change deal and told the advisor who checked me in and she said she would take care of it. When my vehicle was done, the advisor came and told me the car needed a new xxx battery cable and brake cleaning but other than that the car was fine. (which i knew was a lie because my left rear tire is low on air constantly and my right back tire had a cut on the outside because we just got our state inspection) but I assumed they at least did the oil change and tire rotation right so I didnt mention his overlooking of the condition of my tires and the opportunity to sell me a pair of tires. When I got my vehicle back, I saw that the 'LDW/BSW Malfunction light was on, which was not on when I checked the vehicle in for service. I immediately took the car back inside and showed the advisor who then went in to get the technician who worked on my car. No one had a clue what was wrong or even took the time to go get someone else who may know what was going on. He simply turned off the Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning feature so that the light would 'go away'. I was going out of town and didnt have much time to stay to wait for it to be checked back in so I made an appointment to come in 10/8. After that, I went home and showed my husband the paperwork and he went out to inspect the vehicle. He noticed that the two rear tires that had damage WERE STILL IN THE SAME PLACE! The tires WERE NEVER ROTATED. Which explains why the technician failed to mention that my tires needed to be replaced when he did his 'multi point inspection'. In fact, he put that there were NO cuts, nails, or damage to the tires. On 10/8 at about 3am on the way back from VA that same tire with the cut gave out and went flat. I understand that the tire going out was NOT the fault of nissan or the technician, however his negligence to rotate and inspect the tires as he indicated he did caused us to think that the tire may not have been as bad as we thought and that it didnt need to be replaced quite yet. Had we had known, we would have purchased two tires that day. So on 10/8, we took the vehicle back to the dealership and explained all of this to the advisor who helped me on 10/5. She stated that she would take care of the installation of the tires for free and all we had to do was purchase a tire whether it be there or anywhere else. I agreed and told her I would come back on 10/9 to get the tires installed, she would jut have to let me know the price. She stated that she would price some tires for us and give us a call back by EOB 10/8. It is now 10/9 and I have still not heard from them. The service there is awful and we literally just purchased our car back in August of this year. I will NEVER take my car back to this place. I simply needed a tire rotation and oil change and couldn't even get that without issues. Please train your staff to do their due diligence and complete their job assignments without rushing or lying about what is done. Also, please teach your advisors what integrity on the job is and to not make promises you have no intentions on keeping. Me and my husband were very nice given the circumstances and this is how we were treated? Never again.

I need a seatbelt in my 2015 VW GTI. I work full-time and take care of my 8-month-old infant full-time. I wanted to avoid making multiple trips to the dealership because such trips require me to take time off of work and, because there is no mask mandate and infants cannot be masked or vaccinated, it requires me to sit outside the dealership while waiting for service. Accordingly, I called to ask that the parts be ordered. I provided the VIN and was assured that the part would be in (I even offered to pay for it ahead of time), I called later and confirmed that the part had come in. When I took my GTI in for service I waited with my infant in carrier for over an hour, in the sun, on a patio next to a dead bird. I had to change his diaper there. Finally, I was called and informed that the dealership did not actually have the part and that I would have to come back again later. I lost more than half a day of work to this chore and was given nothing in recompense and hardly even an apology. I also put a deposit on a new key from this same dealership--paying about $200--and was told that I would be called when it came in. I never received a call but eventually confirmed that a key came in. However, I have no time to go back to the dealership for either the seatbelt or the key (and I have to assume that the key will take at least two more trips). It seems I'm out the $200, my lost wages, and I still need a new seatbelt and key. I would prefer to give a "negative star" rating, but that is not an option. Additionally, I've now left many voicemails for various managers at Bob Johnson/Dorschel (there was some sort of merger but the signage is only half-changed) and have heard nothing back.

Dishonest Service Department. I received the attached mailer flier in the mail as I often do from Burdick VW. Often they include discounts on oil changes, or advertise “free multi point inspection” in which they try to get you in the door and sell you services you don’t really need. This particular one caught my eye as it showed $20 for front or rear brake pads and rotors as show in the ad. The fine print states additional parts and labor may be an additional cost. Certain models excluded. I thought well, it shows bring your TIGUAN in for service, listed their service department number, and hours for Burdick VW, I’ll schedule the service it’s a great deal, they must be making their money on the additional labor charge I see there potentially is. When I arrived at my appointment, the service advisor Marc said he had never seen one in person before, someone had come in the previous week and tried to use it but did not have the ad with them. I provided the ad as proof, and was told it must be a mistake it should probably read $20 off. I pointed out the deal above the $20 price point advertises $5 OFF but there is no “off” associated with the listed $20 per wheel brakes. He said he would look into it and call me back. 7 hours later, still no response or call back. After contacting them, I was informed that “the ad should read $20 off”, then the story changed to it doesn’t include my vehicle (Tiguan) even though the advertisement specifically has a picture of a Tiguan and shows to contact Burdick VW for service of my Tiguan. Then they stated that VW sends them out, and they don’t do mailers, and then said their marketing department must have made an error. I told Marc that it seems dishonest to send mailers and not honor them, at which time he stated “I don’t have time to deal with you I have customers to deal with I’m busy here”. After contacting VW they said they don’t do mailers it’s up to the privately owned dealerships to send them out, and it is Burdick VW that would have sent it and not honor their own advertisement. The service manager Stephanie also refused to honor the advertisement and fed into the ever changing stories made up to try to get me to drop the issue. Do yourself a favor, and visit a more reputable dealership to have your service done. Don’t count on them to honor any advertised service discounts.

I was on a trip from Montreal to Philadelphia and as I passed Albany New York the oil light in my 2011 Jetta came on. It was later discovered that the car had lost oil because of an improperly installed oil filter by my home dealer. After using the VW emergency road service, my car was towed to Capitol Cities VW and then came the best part of the whole day, I met Randy. It was 3:30 in the afternoon when I arrived and Randy had someone work on the car immediately, they stayed past their normal working hours and I was on my way, half an hour after normal closing time. The whole team understood what I really needed and delivered in spades. Thank you Randy, thank you Capital Cities VW and thank you Langan Automotive Group.

Bill and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly, courteous. If it were not for their service department I would would not have bought my 2nd, 3rd and 4th vehicle from them. Keep up the great work!!

My vehicle showed a warning of "A/C off due to temperature of engine" I brought it in to be checked out (Under Warranty). The technician after teleconferences with GM was unable to correct the problem. I was asked to leave the vehicle over night, but GM was still not able to come up with a solution to the problem. After a few days, Rick called me and told me to bring in the vehicle, at which time the computer was replaced. I thought the staff at Grand Prize tried very hard to solve the problem and worked very well with me. I therefore think a "Good" rating is proper under the circumstances described.
