In April of 2023 we went on vacation for a week and came home to a dead 2022 Yukon purchased from this dealer. We contacted the dealer to inquire being this didn’t make sense happening to a brand new vehicle. We had heard from another dealership locally that there was a recall regarding battery drainage but it wasn’t “vin specific”. When we contacted king orourke the person we spoke with had no answers for us as there was no “bin specific” recall for our vehicle and told me to “take to the other dealer then” the customer service was horrible and our concerns were dismissed. We ended up having to buy a new battery out of pocket costing over $300. Fast forward to now, the recall letter was sent a few months ago, and we made the appt to have the update completed to care for said battery drain issue. We inquired with management to have some sort of compensation regarding the out of pocket cost and were again dismissed. The dealership claimed “your battery is fine” - yea, obviously. We paid to have a new one put in before we were formally notified about the recall. I really didn’t think we were asking much, floor mats. Something. But instead we were spoken to with zero patience or understanding. Poor customer service all around.

Jeff has always shown me nothing but courtesy and care whenever I bring in my car for maintenance or repair. Vinny in charge of the service department is a gentleman who always makes a point to come over and say hello. I am always updated on part orders as the parts department is top notch. Was told I had a recall, came in for state inspection my car was ready at the exact time the service man told me. I like that so many time at a other dealer I waited for over two hours for a simple oil change.

On Thursday, 4/15, I had an appt at Kia for 4 new tires. Melissa Miller, Service Advisor, took care of me. Melissa was awesome. She was friendly, professional, and kept me in the loop re the status of my vehicle while I was waiting in the customer sitting area. The service department was very busy when I was there and Melissa kept a cool, professional and great attitude while handling her busy day. While waiting, Melissa informed me that I needed a back up bulb which was taken care of. She also went over the Multi-Point Inspection of my car and advised that other than the bulb, everything looked good. She discussed that my brakes were good although I did mentioned that I use to be a heavy breaker. So Melissa filled me in about how to properly brake upon approaching a stop sign or red light. I have to admit that Melissa is one of the most knowledgeable Service Advisors that I have come in contact with during the many years that I have been coming to Kia for service of my car. She displays such a caring and professional attitude, qualities that I do not see in many service advisors. I also witnessed how she treated 3 other customers who were also waiting in the customer sitting area. One gentleman mentioned to me how considerate Melissa was to him. I look forward to seeing her upon my next service date which will probably be for my Kia's oil change. Brought car in for routine maintenance. All was fine or so I thought. Some time later when I pulled down my front visor with mirror I noticed dirty finger prints all over the mirror and a significant scratch on the interior material of the visor. As I expected when I called they are denying they had anything to do with it and wont do anything about it. I obviously can't prove it. I have had bad experiences with both Mazda Service and now Hyundai. I will have to take my business elsewhere in the future and I suggest you do as well.
