We have owned our vehicle for several years and have meticulously maintained it beyond the warranty requirements. While I hold no grievance against Mopar, I am deeply disappointed with the service department at Bob Johnson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) in Watertown, NY. Their performance has been utterly unacceptable, reflecting either a severe lack of competence or a blatant disregard for customer service.
I have encountered dishonesty both in person and over the phone, which has led me to question their trustworthiness with any vehicle service. At best, you may see your car returned after several months; at worst, they might delay warranty work to the point where Mopar ultimately denies coverage.
We experienced a three-week wait just to secure a service appointment for diagnostics. After another week and a half, we were informed that Mopar needed additional pictures. Bob Johnson CDJR’s service department then took an excruciating six weeks to send those images, followed by an additional four weeks for further pictures, ultimately resulting in Mopar denying the warranty claim. Frustrated by the ordeal, we opted to sell the vehicle through another dealership.
When I went to retrieve my car to use it as a trade-in, it was still disassembled. Despite repeated assurances that it would be ready in a few days, and after pressing the Head Service Manager for a specific date, I was promised it would be ready by the end of the week. We confirmed for Friday of that week, but when that day arrived and I called to arrange pickup, the car was still not assembled. I had to insist on taking my car back, and it was only then that they hastily reassembled it enough for me to drive away. To my profound disappointment, the vehicle was emitting heavy smoke—an issue that was not present when we originally brought it in.
